Huon Hill Lookout

Great biew of the surrounding areas.Main points of interest is the army barracks and lake Hume.Bit of a steep drive in sections up gravel road but nothing a car can't handle.Exposed area without many trees so sunscreen and hat are advisable

A nice area to view the nature. You have to get off the main road and drive through a gravel road to reach the look out area. I could go there with my corolla sedan

Long dirt track to the main lookout, a good 15min drive. The views are not as great from the main lookout as compared to other areas along the drive. Lots of trees in the way that obscure views of the city. Otherwise a peaceful spot with not many others visiting or staying for long periods. Some picnic tables scattered around to help make the stop a little more enjoyable ... so pack a little picnic lunch and enjoy the serenity at least.

A good place to enjoy high altitude views. Drive looks bit scary but it is safe. Not recommended during a hot day. not much for kids to enjoy

A very hot walk with no shade up to the top, but lovely views once there. Somewhat overgrown at the top of the lookout, but you can still get to each lookout platform quite easily. There's a few information boards alongside a small picnic bench at the top. The carpark is quite close and it's mostly just a steep walk up.

Slow and steady trek up the unpaved hill for part of the way, but well worth the drive to get to the look out. Watch out for pot holes. Plenty of kangaroos roaming freely which is always nice to see. We went to view the sunset and were not disappointed. Nice views on both sides of the car park and parts of the drive. Toilets on site although I didn't use them to rate cleanliness. A couple of tables. No BBQ.
