Port Stephens 4WD Tours

The best value for money anywhere. My guide was friendly and knowledgeable. We did a beach tour, saw dolphins and whales, heard about the history of the area, then went sand boarding. My guide acted as a coach helping me with my technique so I was safe and had a blast.Everybody was treated as special on our tour.

Amazing experience, fully guided tour experience of Anna Bay's sand dunes and beach in an air conditioned bus. The sandboarding hills available to tour participants are much larger and steeper compared to what's offered by the competitors here.Big shout out to Frank for his professionalism and photography skills!

Can't recommend this company enough, this was the second time I have been on the tour with them (this time was to take my parents here who were visiting from overseas) on this occasion we had been running very late and been in contact with them on the way explaining this hoping they could wait for us.Not only did they hold the tour for us with the permission of the other guests for 15 mins but the also reserved two parking spots for us right outside on a very busy day down there and still greeted us with a smile and a joke about why we were late (we were late as we got stuck in the sand on the 4x4 track around the corner and had to get towed out by a passer by). As for the tour its a brilliant and great value and the red bus team has the best dunes for the sand boarding at the end of the tour. 5 star service and the staff are Legends. Thanks

I went in Summer, the weather wasn't as hot as I expected, around 28-30°c (though it looks so hot in the photos lol) it was a fun experience!

Great experience.MICK our Tour guide on the day from Port Stephen’s 4 wheel Tour was excellent block and a guide with full knowledge on what he was doing.He was helping customers to take pictures as well.He deserves a ⭐️.We booked for 1 hr tour. But, Thanks to the tour company as well, as they stretched the ride to 1 & 1/2 hr as all the customers were enjoying to the max.Overall 5 ⭐️.Definitely coming back….. from syd.Pic Credit:Mick

We had a wonderful time this morning with Port Stephens 4WD Tours with a large group of 17 ranging in age from 2 to 71 years. Everyone enjoyed a ride over the dunes, searching for pippies and of course sand boarding! Even the young and old were able to join in. The guide was very friendly and COVID safe procedures were conducted enhancing our sense of safety. Would highly recommend this as a fun activity for the whole family.Thanks so much!

Book online, about 3 hrs drive from Sydney. These tours generally take you for a quick stop at the beach and then head out to the sand dunes. It’s great activity and moderate in terms of fitness required so most of us can enjoy. Take a board up the hill and slide down it’s fun! Make sure you take a hat, slap ap on a lot of sunscreen and keep hydrated.

Must do when you visit Port Stephens. I booked the package via Klook. Package includes a drive on the sand onboard their 4WD vehicle, a stop at the Birubi beach to find the local pipis. After that comes the most exciting part. Sandboarding! You get to choose the short or long slope, both safe for kids and adults alike. Our guide Frank shared great knowledge about the location and also helped to take cool photos. Go ahead and try this activity and leave with awesome memories!

We did the 1.5h tours (Tin City and sand boarding) at 9am, which was good for not having many people and for not being too hot.Our guide Dave was great and had some interesting facts about local birds and wildlife.We also stopped at Tin City where Dave told us the story of this small fishing village.Last stop was sand boarding which as you would expect was very hot but so climbing the dune barefoot was a bit uncomfortable.Also the dune wasn’t as tall as expected. Overall worth the 50$ pp and great service.P.S.: the website is confusing, call to confirm the time of the tour
