Behan Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

This is by far the best Ju Jitsu club in Toowoomba, especially because it has an excellent kids and teens program with good role modelling and experienced coaches who teach safe no fuss martial arts. The kids are confident and have fun moving up grades and the adults classes are top notch too. The only thing I could say is that club building is smaller than what we’re used to and can get a bit breezy but it’s growing fast and it seems to be upgrading quickly. That’s not what’s important though - the quality of coaching is key. Highly recommend.

Have 2 girls that have really enjoyed this experience. They started as complete beginners and the learning environment is very friendly and supportive. Instructors keep a good pace. Would highly recommend even just a social experience for kids and no doubt a great confidence builder. Well done Behan Jiu Jitsu!

I joined Behan Juijitsu Toowoomba towards the end of 2022. It was my first exposure to martial arts. Justin (owner/coach) was very friendly and approachable and set me up with a free 7 day trial. I enjoyed the trial and joined up the following week, and I've barely missed a class since. The club has a great culture and a strong ethos. Justin is a very personable coach who genuinely believes in the progress of his members. He has created a very welcoming and inclusive community of members who are supportive of one another. If you are considering giving Jui Jitsu a try, or even just looking for a new club, you've found the right place at Behan.

An awesome BJJ gym, would highly recommend!!Starting out fresh in the sport and new to the gym I was a little nervous but Justin and his trainers are incredibly kind, knowledgeable and great at coaching.The environment and atmosphere is ideal! The members are respectful, approachable and everyone is learning/improving together.I’m thankful for the options in the timetable, I’m able to attend a class even with varying work hours.Thank you Justin for creating such a great place, Behan Jiu Jitsu!!

I started training with Justin and the team at Behan Jiu Jitsu a few months ago and they have all been nothing short of amazing. All the coaches and students are so welcoming and helpful and always make you feel like part of the family. The kids and teens classes are really good too, highly recommend to anyone!

Decided to try out Behan after seeing the variety of classes they offered for BJJ and Muay Thai as well. Joined at the start of the year, very nervous to try something new, especially a martial art. Within minutes, the supportive and welcoming culture at this gym became clear. Every member is incredibly helpful, patient, and knowledgeable, everyone truly is there to learn and help others learn. Justin shares his wealth of knowledge in a way that makes sense, structures each class to support everyone’s training, and has obviously made a strong community in the gym that has everyone feeling involved and engaged. You finish each class noticing improvements, and excited for the next class you can do.

A wholesome and welcoming community. This is my first time ever doing any martial art and I haven't looked back. Justin explains any questions you may have clearly and in a transparent way that eases you into your fist lessons. All the training partners are easy to talk to and will go at your pace so you can find your footing.

Justin (coach/owner) & the other trainers offer excellent instruction, and the other students have also been extremely helpful.
