Kids in the Hills Speech Pathology

These five stars that go to Kids on the hills were given by my five year old son. And we, as parents, join this.This is an absolutely wonderful place to work with children with special needs. Speech therapist Elena is a high professional in her field. Only such kind and harmonious people, like Elena, should work with children.One day, my special child did not want to go home from Kinder and demanded to immediately go to Elena, although it was not our day. When I tried all the options to calm my son down and nothing helped, I decided to call Elena and ask for help.Then she recorded a video appeal for her son. We got into the car and the son watched videos from his favorite speech therapist all the way home. This example shows well how Elena is devoted to children and what extraordinary and quick solutions she finds. We endlessly love Kids on the hills and our speech therapist Elena.We highly recommend and are extremely pleased with the process of helping our son, who, with her help, has moved forward and now goes to school.

Very disappointed in this service, communication between speech therapist and parents was minimal and did not provide a safe and positive environment for my child. Was unable to teach in happy and friendly environment and behaved extremely unprofessional on all occasions.

If I could give Elena 100 stars I would. We have a 7 year old that started to see Elena at the age of 3. While the speech therapy has been phenomenal for our son, Elena teaches these kids so much more. She offers a safe space for the kids to be themselves. She understands that every child is different and on any given day, may have different needs. She is engaging and incorporates their own personal interests into each session. Throughout Covid lockdowns Elena offered zoom sessions and went above and beyond to offer engaging activities and even organised a delivery of sensory activities to be dropped off to each student for use during each session, out of her own pocket. Our son is learning social development skills through each session and knows he is safe in the space that is Elena's office. There is no one else that I would trust to be on my sons team. An absolute angel who works through heart, and helps your child move mountains.

Elena has been my eldest child’s speech pathologist for over 3 years now. He has a diagnosis of ASD/ADHD. She has seen him through the assessment and speech therapy process, he currently has fortnightly sessions with her. He adores her and has come in leaps and bounds, improving beyond what I thought possible. Elena’s communication and feedback regarding my child’s progress has been impeccable and she has remained flexible between therapy room sessions, zoom sessions and at school visits.Elena has also assessed my youngest child and helped us through the initial stages of Developmental Language Disorder.In my opinion Elena has been the best speech pathologist we have seen and the best in the hills area.

My daughter attended Speech therapy for several years with Elena, for extensive therapy due to Verbal dyspraxia and Autism.My daughter is now 16 years old, in year 11 at school and doing amazing. If you met my daughter today you would not know that at 5 years of age she was non verbal. Elena worked with my daughter with her literacy and speech delay. She is doing so well at school, has a part time job and wants to be an Engineer. I have no doubt she will succeed at that. If it hadn't been for Elena we would not of had such a success with her. Elena also saw my other children for delayed speech and they are all doing well. To this day I think of Elena fondly and believe the way she worked with my daughter (and other children) encouraged them to learn and practice the sounds. They also loved coming to her sessions. Thanks again Elena for everything.

My son has been with Elena for a few years. The difference it has made to his life is astounding. The work he does with her helped him prepare for tackling school and new social situations. He loves his time with Elena and looks forward to each session. Would highly recommend.
