Ripped off!! We had a jerky car when driving around 100kmph. This mechanic said oh yeah ive had a few subarus with this, its most likely the coils or can be oil on the spark plugs. We told him to see what he could find and ring us before he did anything. Didnt happen! He just changed the spark plugs and said it was fixed, even wrote on the invoice no oil on plugs.Charged $380.....another respected mechanic said we charge $250. Tarragindi autocare said its an older car and it will have problems and you just have to change things and see if it fixes the problem. We even told him we had the spark plugs changed a year ago so surely its not them.Took the car to above mentioned mechanic and he fixed it for $32......just turned out to be unbalanced wheels. I could have checked the plugs myself if i knew thats all he was doing. Lazy mechanic and very expensive for a one man mobile business. Avoid at all costs.
