St Cuthbert's Wedding Chapel

Very nice setting .its a bit special

We were married here in August 2016. A beautiful chapel for a small intimate wedding. Owners very friendly and helpful. When we are in the area we stop by and say hi. We love the place!

Nice little church in the hills

Had my darling son's funeral there. Intimate and a lovely setting. Anne took care of us and helped with setting up refreshments. Very peaceful setting in Macclesfield. Thanks Anne

Arrived early with my elderly parents for the funeral of a close relative. We had arranged with other relatives for an early start to help set up refreshments for the guests. As there were no obvious parking spaces, we drove into an area directly next to the chapel. One of the owners (the woman) kindly directed us to park along the nearby service road.We did as she instructed and got immediately chewed out by the other owner (a man), who marched over to our car and began speaking very loudly and condescendingly to us. He told my father to 'Tell your wife to get back in the car, we're not ready' and opened the driver's door while I was still in the car to berate me for having my rear wheels on a public road. He was incredibly condescending and rude, and even rolled his eyes when one of my parents asked a question.He then proceeded to yell and scream at the other owner. We were the only ones to arrive by that point, so there was nobody else waiting for a parking space. Once the other guests began to arrive he spoke with them in a similarly rude and condescending tone, repeating all the business about waiting in the car and parking on public roads.The funeral service was pleasant (it was carried out by a separate provider), but to begin the farewell of a loved one with such an unnecessarily nasty experience is just awful. I hope the owners see this review and consider how this morning could have been dealt with better. I suspect he behaved particularly poorly towards us as we are a culturally 'mixed' family.

We were married here and love this small church. The owners are super friendly as well :)
