Manta Bargara Resort

After messing up my Booking.com booking which I thought I had booked a 1 bedroom apartment for 2 nights but actually only booked 1 nightI phoned the hotel direct to request assistance. I spoke to a lovely lady who after a short discussion was able to offer a 3 bedroom for 3 nights for the same price. I checked if it had an ocean view & was advised yes with a northerly aspect on the 2nd floor.Upon arrival we were advised the lift was being repaired but was fixed within an hour.The apartment was very spacious. I would say it had an ocean glimpse.We discovered by a note on the 2nd bathroom door that we couldn’t use it without paying extra. My husband & I often book Mantra 2 bedroom apartments but have always been allowed to use the 2nd bathroom with no extra charge. This wouldn’t have been an issue except the main bedroom ensuite doesn’t have a door which we hate ! Who really wants to listen to their partner using the toilet in the middle of the night?We also couldn’t get the aircon to turn on. Although it was quite cold when we stayed we felt warm enough not to check if there was a problem. When I mentioned this on checking out I was advised that the aircon was actually waiting to be repaired. We would have appreciated being advised this on check in so we didn’t waste time trying to turn it on.We also discovered the previous guests had not removed the coffee pods from the coffee machine & this had not been cleaned.The hotel is within walking distance to the beach, restaurants, pub & takeaways.The bed was very comfy. The large TV with numerous Foxtel channels was a bonus.Generally the room was very clean but the property seems to need some maintenance.Good basement parking.The hosts were very helpful .

We stayed for 3 nights, in the 3 bedroomed apartment (4 adults and two young kids). Polite and friendly reception staff. The apartment was clean, modern and I like that the master bedroom had it's own TV and large ensuite. The apartments are well maintained and nice and quiet. The pool is lovely and clean and I appreciate the fact there is a shallow pool for kids. Well located and about a 5 minute walk to cafes/restaurants etc. Our only complaints, are that booking.com has this apartment advertised as sea views" and when you look at the photos

We enjoyed our short stay at the Mantra in Bargara. Our hosts were very informative with our arrival details. We arrived early and were luckily allowed to check-in. The apmt was very spacious, clean & had plenty of kitchen equipment to use so ideal for long stays. Our balcony overlooked the beach and only a short stroll to shops & restaurants. The only negative was the layout of the bathroom which wasn't the best practical design but did have all the amenities. The pool area level 1 was also well equipped for cooking and the pool was a unique shape with plenty of lounges & umbrella & a separate spa. We were provided underground car parking and a lift to access to our room. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Had a fabulous stay. The 2 bedroom apartment we were in was very comfortable, clean and well fitted out. The balcony was spacious with a superb view of the ocean. And the units are well located to restaurants etc just a 5 minute or so walk. Would definitely go back.

Great rooms, great location, but no privacy on the balconies.

I understand that the resort is beach front, and sea spray gets to the glass, but windows could have done with a wash. Lounges need replacing urgently, very uncomfortable. Main bedroom bed very uncomfortable , and a few light bulbs were out. 2nd bedroom door didn't close but had a comfortable bed. This is one room only so unsure of others. It did have some positives, 2 car parks per unit, well equipped gym, clean and large pool area. We would go back to units for another visit.

Awesome place to stay , pool, spas, tennis court, across the street from ocean., Easy walk to shops

We booked a 3 bedroom apartment for a family of 6. Well appointed apartment. Clean, spacious and very close to pool which was great for the kids. It had plenty of space for us and the deck outside was lovely. Great location and convenient to shops and cafes. Looking forward to staying again next year.

I have to say this place is awesome, we've stayed twice now. Just far enough from the main street for a quiet location and close enough to walk easily for most people. Fantastic views and underground secure parking. Pool and spa, beach just across the road... what more can you ask for. The rooms were very comfortable and well appointed, the staff are very friendly and helpful. For best deals, give them a call instead of using apps, I've had great luck doing so. There are many things to do in the local area if you have a car to travel too. I'd love to add some photos but can't find the option to do so...

I stayed there with four kids one adults in prep for our footy tournament, it was amazing we DONT treat ourselves often and I thought why not make a holiday of it and it was amazing the view from our apartment was breath taking.The whole city was super clean they had street sweepers and even council members come to clean up the bush along the beachThe apartment itself was super clean apart from the dish washer not working every one working had a smile and pleasant energy to suit, I was extremely happy with the experience overall.We were booked into another venue afterwards but the booking company messed it up so next time we plan to come back only this time longerThank you Manta
