Very disappointing. My vegetarian faquitas dish was mostly just onions, a little green capsicum and a few odd pieces of tofu. The amount of chilli in the dish as well as the onions made it inedible! The dish was slopped together so badly, I could barely tell what was what. There were a couple of corn chips chucked in for who knows what reason. It looked like leftovers. Looked terrible, tasted terrible. Not happy at all.

We were a little disappointed with the food. Not cheap, not hot (food was cold by the time we were halfway through) and just quite ordinary for Mexican. Service was very good and whilst we had a seat by the door (cold breeze every time someone opened the door) the atmosphere was pretty good. The average 4.2 rating seemed a little high overall.

Excellent food and service. Bhavika was so helpful to choose and we got the best of the menu.... delicious!!! Margaritas are amazing too... best in town!!

Wow! We visited this restaurant for the very first time last night, and I was utterly impressed from the second I walked in. The atmosphere was so inviting, welcoming, lively, and vibrant. From the moment I sat down, I certainly didn’t feel like I was in quiet little Eltham - I felt like I was overseas in the middle of bustling Mexico City!The decorations were wonderful, the lighting was ambient and fun, and the cheerful Mexican-inspired music was perfect. A huge ‘well done’ to all the staff at Hecho En Mexico for your creativity and hard work in setting up such a marvellous and cozy restaurant environment! Throughout the night I was also very impressed by the efficient and attentive customer service provided by all staff members.Our drinks arrived first - all of which we were very happy with. Next, the food! The meals we ordered were delicious, flavourful, satisfying, aromatic, and delectable. I had the Californian Burrito which was scrumptious! I couldn’t have asked for a better burrito.I don’t have a single bad thing to say about this restaurant - it’s wonderful! I will definitely be returning, and I will also be telling all my friends and family about it, encouraging them to visit. I think this place is an absolutely great addition to the Eltham restaurant variety, and it provides a much-needed ‘spark’ that all customers - young and old - can enjoy!

Came in and had a lovely experience.The food was fresh and amazing.I was served by Aimee and she gave me impeccable customer service. She was very knowledgeable and told me everything I needed to know!Will definitely be back!

This restaurant is terrible. Do not order the fajitas. Worst meal I have ever had. So disappointed that I paid for a meal here. I ordered fajitas not sure they knew what fajitas were. Go somewhere else that is tastier! The fish tasted sweet #dessertfish

Just had a meal at this restaurant. Very clean, nice, tidy, good and unique decoration. Unlike some reviews I read before heading there, the portions were towards larger size rather than small. There where no missing ingredients. I am vegetarian but my wife's food was loaded with prawn. We were hardly able to finish our food. Prices were reasonable. We will defiantly come back here.

Charged $100 for takeaway at the Eltham branch. Most of order missing main ingredients including salsa, cheese and sour cream. The entire order was cold even though ordered in-store, portion size was a fraction size of in restaurant size. The food was 1/10 and congealed. I had to cook another meal instead. The biggest rip off I’ve ever experienced with takeaway. I may as well have thrown away my money in the bin, as what I received was inedible and daylight robbery.When I called to complain they tried to claim the missing cheese, salsa and sour cream had melted into the nachos and other meals, even though the photos I sent showed otherwise. The photo below ($15 mini nachos missing salsa, cheese and sour cream) is as it came. The sweet potato $8 taco MISSING the main ingredient sweet potato and was very soggy also shown in photo below. Avoid takeaway from this establishment.
