Martin York

My friend and I are often popping into Martin York, the lovely ruby always seems to be there!! She’s so helpful and nice to chat with, the store is so unreal with the best customer service, you honestly feel like you’re talking to anther one of your friends!!

I walked into the Martin York boutique at Eastland today and was made to feel very uncomfortable the second I walked in. The sales assistants who were working looked me up and down in a very condescending manner, I was in my school uniform and I have a very large chest and when I’m in my uniform you cannot tell what type of body shape I have whatsoever (the only noticeable thing is my chest size). I had $700 to spend on a dress as I had an event coming up and I found a dress I really liked, I asked the sales assistant if they had it in a bigger size as the cup size on the dress was far too small for me and she walked over to me, once again looked me up and down and said “No we don’t, we only make dresses around this size and it’s quite a slender size isn’t it, I don’t think this is the dress for you” she then proceeded to pat me on the shoulder, walk away from me and scowl at her coworker after we had the conversation. I left the store feeling awful. I would think that in this day and age us as women would have moved past body shaming other women and acting as though we are more superior to other women. Shopping for clothes should make you feel beautiful and empowered, No person of any size, race or gender should ever leave a shop feeling humiliated and belittled. Do better Martin York, no one deserves to feel the way your sales assistants made me feel and I’m sure I’m not the only person they’ve made feel like this.

I have shopped at Martin York since the day it opened and I have never, not once, had anything less than the best service and experience. Jo is insanely talented with styling and everything she picks to be in her shop is incredible. All the girls (past and present) are amazing. My wardrobe is essentially filled with everything from MY. Love your work ladies xxxxx

Fantastic small business that is 100% dedicated to the customer! I placed online order not only did they post straightaway but when it arrived it was wrapped so nicely and with so much care. Can not wait to shop more at Martin York! Well done ladies on being amazing!

I visited this gorgeous store for the first time this week. What a great find at Eastland. Full of awesome brands and helpful, down to earth staff. Indy made me feel so welcome and although I didnt buy anything this time, she was happy to help me out with sizing and suggestions and never made me feel pressured, unlike many other similar stores. Thank you! I will be back soon!!!

After desperately trying to source a particular dress for a last minute event I found it on the Martin York Boutique Online Store. I called the store to make sure that it was actually in stock and to get an opinion on sizing. I was met with a happy, helpful and very polite Sales Assistant. I ended up purchasing the dress online and the Sales Assistant had it packed and ready to go within the hour. I received the dress the next day and it fit perfectly. Needless to say I will keep the Martin York store front of mind when I am shopping for my next event.

I don’t usually write reviews, but after my recent purchase from Martin York I had to share my experience. Given my transaction was relatively mundane - replacing a pair of expensive sunglasses I lost on a work trip - I assumed the experience would be neither here nor there. The parcel showed up quickly, but when I opened it, the item was gift wrapped, and very well I might add. And to top it off, the reciept was in a enveolpe with a card, hand written with a message. It was a great personal touch and and really made me forget that I couldn’t afford to eat this week! That’s value you can’t pay for! Thanks Martin York, you guys are great!

I’ve never left a review for a clothing store before but honestly the best service ever! And this isn’t a one off that girl was good, every time you go in the staff spend time with you, suggest what will suit you and the occasion your going to and tell you different stying options. Every time I walk out I feel good! Thank you ladies!

I absolutely love this store! It is the most beautiful store at Eastland, and for that matter in the Eastern suburbs. All the ladies working here are so welcoming, respectful and helpful. As an older woman I still can find plenty of beautiful clothes here and whenever I have an occasion Martin York is my very first point of call. Thank you Jo & A Team for many years of wonderful service & beautiful shopping experiences both online & in store ❤️
