Mataranka Homestead

Top spot. Ok rooms and other amenities need updating or replacing but that's not the reason we were there. Managing couple, Steve and Danni were fabulous and couldnt do enough for us. The thermal pool is icing on the cake. Our entertainment was excellent as was company.

Best spot to stay for the Thermal Pools. Great atmosphere at night with the fire going, live music, and whip cracking show!Pro-tip get to the springs at around 0745-0830 (dry season timings) for amazing steamy sunrise vibes.

Had the worst check in experience!! Extremely rude very uninterested lady who wasn't from around here....So blunt with no interest what so ever!! No information about the property... Or where everything was.Was told very sternly there was NO AVAILABILITY in the powered site closest to the hot pools and I would have to go to the other side of the park.Dusty and No shade... The amenities were very old and very dirty.I decided I didn't want to settle here so I opted to get my money back and move elsewhere! Couldn't be happier!

Great spot to stop for a rest. Facilities older, however cleaned daily. Short walk for a swim in the spring. Love music and wip show 6 nights per week. We will return

Good place to stay. Good food and great nightly entertainment with a band and then a whip cracking champion. Excellent access to the thermal pools. Units are good but no cooking facilities. Plenty of room for Caravans and tents etc.

A really pretty place, reasonably priced rooms and great staff.We stayed in twin and single bed rooms with ensuite and they were perfect.There’s also camping as well, all close to the hot springs.After a long day, it’s the perfect place to have a meal, a drink and listen to the live music.

Love it. It is about 8km drive towards it. While driving it feels like driving through nature with termite house everywhere. The lovely thing to see that some have teeshirts hats and sunglasses.The astompshere at the homestead was relaxing. We loved shopping at the shop. Good stuff at reasonable price. Got to see some NT animals real preserved one. We enjoyed looking at every corner.The bar area love the setting and the stage. The price of drinks and food is good price. On weekend they have shows and music and the nature pool which you can't miss

Go to Lil Ropers or Bitter Springs.Staff - rudeAmenities - dirtyWashing machines- only 4 working in all of the park and 6 brokenShowers - luke warm water.Power to Amenities block gets turned off from 10pm to 2am so this means- no hot water- no pumps to have a shower- no lights if you need the toilet.Had to have a sponge bath at 10.15pm after origin because the showers wouldnt work. What an absolute joke.The only good thing about this place is free night entertainment and the springs. Otherwise people would go elsewhere.Says telstra reception but expect extremely slow internet reception.

Love staying at Mataranka Homestead. Great food and really nice atmosphere in the evenings. The hot springs are gorgeous crystal clear water. Get down early and beat the crowd or take a torch for an early evening dip.I was just disappointed I didn’t get a powered site last visit first world problem I know but it was hot in the camper.
