I’ve had good experiences before but I’ll sadly not be going back. My very long hair down to my hips and tailbone was cut short where it barely reaches my ribs. I understand I hadn’t cut my hair in over 6 months, but that’s because I was growing it out and mentioned I want to maintain the length. I’m devastated because this took me 2 years to grow out and now I feel very down when I look in the mirror. That’s another 2 years of my life I have to wait for it to get back to that length. I’m so upset. Hopefully she can take this feedback on board if a client comes in with super long hair that needs a trim that hasn’t been trimmed in a while it’s because they intended for it to be this long. Been feeling extremely devastated since and will never be returning or trust anyone else to touch my hair with scissors again.Edit: now that I have styled my hair I can also notice how badly cut the layers are. They are extremely choppy. My hair has never been cut this badly, surely this is a joke.

Catherine is an extremely kind person. If you are looking for a bargain priced haircut etc I'd definitely recommend her, however if you are looking for a luxurious top end experience, you won't find that here. It is a cheap and cheerful place for basics like a haircut / hairstyling. She also does eyelash extensions etc and its just her and 1 other working there.I can imagine those that leave negative reviews would be because they're expecting a high end (expensive) luxurious hairdresser experience. You're not gonna pay $25 and get a Pierre Haddad experience so have realistic expectations! If you are happy with the feeling of being in someone's home (not that it is, but that is the vibe) that is cheap and cheerful with a friendly woman then this is the place for you!Also the building is hard to find from the outside so look for the yellow building and enter there! Street parking was fine off the main street also.Oh also someone mentioned in the reviews that Catherine doesn't speak English. That is false.Her first language is Vietnamese (I am good with accents) but she definitely speaks English, and I didn't find communication an issue at all. if you are going to demonize anyone who's first language isn't English good luck in Marrickville!

Catherine is a kind and committed hairdresser. She put in all the effort into making sure I was pleased with the colour!She’s approachable and new her stuff with hair colour and cuts!Recommend! She’s a hard worker

Made a last minute appointment and Catherine gladly scheduled me in. She was very nice and professional. She gave me a great wash, cut, and style for a very affordable price. I'm very happy with how it turned out. If you are looking to get a haircut in Marrickville definitely get an appointment here!
