I did the 3 hour bike tuning & maintenance course and learned a LOT more than I expected. We covered all the main topics advertised, but then also covered a lot of ground on other things. Ben & Steve do an excellent job of covering all questions and catering the course to meet specific interests. I came away understanding a lot more about my bike, diagnosing issues, preventing issues from arising and feel more confident about my limited but improved repair/maintenance skills. You also learn the context (why) things are the way they are... eg compatibility of different components... so it actually makes sense and sticks. Big thumbs up from me. Will book the advanced drivetrain course with them for next week. Highly recommend.

Spent an enjoyable 3hrs at 1226 Bikes, Basic Maintenance Course. We were shown on our own bikes, how to adjust the derailer and indexing through the gears. How to remove the wheels and check the brakes . Advice on what causes squeaking brakes and how to fix it. Would recommend course to anyone who is interested in looking after their own bike. Thanks Ben & Steve.

I highly recommend this business. Ben and Steve were friendly and approachable, but above all, knowledgeable. Their Bike Maintenance course is perfect for someone who knows a little bit about bikes but would like to learn more.

Highly recommend the maintenance course. I was an absolute novice in understanding my bike, and Ben and Steve took the time to demonstrate and teach everyone in the group. great encouragement and support, lots of laughs, all questions answered and feel more confident with my bike maintenance. Have a go, really if i can do it, anyone can

Great inclusive class for all level of bike riders. As a female commuter, I was worried it would be too skewed to the road bikers/mountain bikers (it wasn’t. Ranged from beginners to experienced and had all types of bike riders). Ben and Steve were excellent communicators and answered all my questions I had with my bike. Would highly recommend.

Great course for any bike enthusiast. Highly recommendedBen and Steve are really great is explaining the basics of bike maintenance mainly focusing on the gears, brakes and chains.This course will certainly help to fix common problems.It is a good staring point, certainly going back for advanced course.

Steve and Ben were very welcoming. We were lucky to have a small group, and got plenty of attention. They did a great job of explaining the basic elements of bike maintenance, and responding to questions from the group. Our group had a wide variety of bikes and it was really good to see them give everyone equal focus. We'll be back!

The basic course was super informative and well presented in a good environment. A real no brainer as the cost of the course was similar in price and content to a basic bike shop service, only better because you are the one finding all the issues! Thanks to Ben and Steve for such an innovative pathway for any cyclist.
