I was fairly satisfied with the support I had received from one particular senior therapist, until my very last session with them where I felt that my issues were impatiently dismissed because they were seen as petty compared to those of other clients.For a while towards the end of our final sessions, I had noticed that they kept repeating the same kind of advice to me, yet I continued to see them on the basis of familiarity, ignoring my gut feeling which was that they had simply reached their capacity as a therapist.I appreciate that therapy waiting lists can be long and that times have been particularly desperate, but clients deserve better support from such an important relationship.
