Excellent quality

I built a new home with Bryan & PETERSON Warrnambool office during 2013.The home was built in Port Fairy, Victoria and our only negative issue with this build was the poor quality of internal painting.The process of building at that time was great. Professional and complete understanding of our needs.BUT *During late 2019 to early 2020 we sought to build a 2nd home via Bryan PETERSEN (B&P) Warrnambool office and unfortunately, we met with a female sales staff member who was extremely arrogant and unprofessional to the point that we decided ending our plans to build with B&P.We later spoke to a person associated with B&P who advised us that this female staff member had been known to upset customers and I should request an alternate person to deal with at B&P.I later spoke to a senior staff member in regards to further our building inquiry.During the process over several months, we became concerned about being “summonsed” to his office in Warrnambool to discuss minor matters of the quote that could have been reasonable disused via email or phone.The above was during Covid-19 restrictions and further we had to drive a 1-hour round trip to each minor appointment. We currently reside in Port Fairy.The process became stalled when the B&P staff member continually refused numerous written and variable requests for the heights/levels and price quoting related to the slab/ foundation.The building site has a slope which has affected a home next to same and as a result we sought to have the front of home slightly higher.The B&P staff member refused same and continually and forcibly pushed us to spend our monies on-top of build to seek a drainage trench and further a parking pad to deflect water.The lack of transparency and further the excessive cost being some $100,000 more that our previous home build 2012/2013 for a smaller house with less quality than previous and unreasonable quality of service does not reflect a quality business.I have spoken to numerous other current and potential clients considering building with B&P Warrnambool and been advised of similar conduct by your staff such as but not limited to bullying, arrogance, pressure sales, evasive pricing and unprofessional behaviour.One quoted the same female staff member as stating words t similar to, she could not offer a price guide as, “Everyone is building with us, there’s a two year wait because of the building $25,000 grant, you should pay the $2,000 deposit so you can get in line quicker and get a price.”Further the staff members advised clients that they were not able to source items or contractors for any part of build as B&P decide who provides material or conducts construction of any part of build.

For the premium price you would expect a better experience and a higher attention to detail.

Best builders in town. They use familiar faces, local businesses and people to complete their work. No short cuts are taken and the service I second to none. The team are great to deal with. Attention to detail and a first class finish to our brand new home. Two years on and we have had no problems what so ever. Highly recommended this company and their service. I would definitely build with them again.
