Abysmal! The truck I hired was an automatic, it was..the engine stopped automatically at each red light, then after i started the engine again it could not find the right gear, so the engine laboured very loudly until i helped it find the right gear! The shock absorbers were non existent, so l bounced along the road, wondering how my goods were going in the van, there was no rope supplied to tie things down with...When I was driving l was wondering how often the vehicles are given a service???I would never recommend this company to anyone

Moved home, rented a 4T moving truck from Budget. Hassle free, professional service.Truck was great, new, easy to drive and huge amount if room!

terrible service. booked two weeks in advance just to have them cancel on me the day before. they blamed their ‘system’ for cancelling the booking but had no solution for me and didn’t apologise once.i’d received an email that day to call to confirm the booking by 12pm, I called at 11am but they told me i was too late because their system runs on NSW time, which wasn’t stated anywhere in the email. the woman i spoke to was incredibly rude.don’t book a truck from here if you want reliability. after these guys cancelled on me, i went to ‘easy truck hire’ in virginia and they were amazing and the same price.

Rent a 12 seater van for 1 day. Flat tyre on our way to gold coast. After loking at the budget booklet which not mention that we have to pay. i call road assistance and call at the budget office to inform what iam doing, unfortunately staff who answer my call didn't inform me that i have to pay for road assistance.Next day when i return my car i got a surprise that i have to pay for flat tyre and road assistance.Not a good service and helpful staff, will never recommend.

Wow. Just called to enquire about a rental and when I hung up I felt bad for disturbing the guy. Terrible customer service. Definitely won't ever be trying to get blood out of that stone again.

I hired a 12-seater for a month from this office and the service was excellent. A very pleasant experience! The gentleman in the office was super helpful and made the process very straight forward.

A lovely lady (I think Ako?) that works for budget trucks boondall has gone absolutely above and beyond this morning to help me find a moving truck on very short notice. I had called 15 other companies and was met with a hard ‘no’ or ‘completely booked’ and they were not interested in helping me at all. This amazing woman spent at least an hour calling her other branches and even service department to ensure that I had a truck to move with this weekend. I honestly haven’t experienced customer service like this in YEARS.My last experience with Alpha left me disheartened with hire companies but Budget trucks and this lady have restored my faith! Competitive rates and wonderful customer service, I was so relieved after hopping off of the phone with her, she deserves a promotion!Thankyou so much, I am extremely appreciative x

Absolutely ridiculous company. Hired a truck last week to move our household items from NSW up here to QLD. Everything was all sorted out price wise and today, the day we had the trucked booked and were planning on making the trip, we get a message as a reminder of the prices. These prices were completely different from what we agreed to when we first booked the truck. Price per kilometre has gone up and instead of the extra kilometers coming out of the bond for the truck, we now have to pay it all up front.Why does the policy say something different from what your employees say! Not happy! We now are paying rent for a house we can't even live in because of your silly company. We will be finding a reputable company which wont stuff us around like Budget has!

Hired a 10 tonner for the day to move some machinery. The Jap trucks are rough on bad roads but it was auto and had cruise control, a bonus on long highway trips. Didn't have a problem with the paperwork or cost.
