Cheap $10 casual entry. Has everything you need, in an unusual environment (old banana vaults under a train line.)If you’re not a fan of dirt, grime, sweat and smells, I suggest you go elsewhere. This place is the real deal.No matter your level of skill, there’s something for everyone here.

Best gym I have ever been.Great atmosphere, old school but efficient equipment, no fancy stuff, no TV.Best place if you want to train seriously.

Awesome gym, lots of facilities, friendly staff. Definitely recommend it. However, I had to leave as its no longer 24 hours. The reason for the review though is that the cancellation process is a borderline scam. Please only cancel the day after your payment or you will be charged for a full month but still lose access. The third party company, Debit Success, also has some of the rudest customer service providers out there and insane wait times. Kinda wild.

Great, great gym in Melbourne CBD. I dropped in on a Friday morning to get some training done during my long weekend visit. I got a casual pass, which was easy to do. Staff were friendly, helpful, and approachable. Amenities were clean, spacious, and bright. The equipment and space throughout were all top notch. As a powerlifter I was impressed by the specialised equipment on hand- rogue and eleiko bars and plates, plenty of excellent racks, benches, and platforms. Body builders would be happy here too though with plenty of dbs, lots of equipment, and reminders of visits from Coleman and Schwarzenegger. Super interesting architecture also being in the banana alley vaults/ viaduct buildings with trains going overhead. 10/10 would recommend and I'll be visiting again when I'm next in town

Excellent gym. Great atmosphere, excellent range of machines. Comfortable environment for women with other patrons focused on their workout (I’m yet to encounter any leery guys at Dohertys). Staffed 24/7. Very reasonable rates. Women’s bathrooms are recently renovated and consistently lovely and clean.

i canceled membership with this gym because it's no longer a good gym, not what it used to be and the recent new upgrade" of cardio equipment is poorly chosen

$20 casual visit is a rip off. Good range of dumbbells but the machines are terrible. The gym smells quite bad, poor air circulation, water tap tastes like bleach is put through it regularly. Would give it a miss if you want quality machines in a nice environment.

If you are looking for casual session, not the place to go. It’s too expensive. It was $10, price has doubled ($20)Friendly staff - equipment is in good shape.

The best gym in Melbourne if you are serious about training. No other gym has history like this one. No other gym in Melbourne has had so many world champions visit and train at. The staff their are the best. Next to the yarra river with beautiful Southbank views. What more can one ask for
