Amcal Pharmacy East Ballina

After going into this chemist for two and a half years, the majority of women staff seem to look down on me, as if I'm not welcome in the shop. I try to visit when I know David is working as he is kind and courteous. Pauline and Bec the pharmacists are also quite nice. The senior female staff I try to avoid as my presence seems to offend them. I drove my neighbour today as his car is being fixed and was APPALLED at the way they treated him. He was crying and shaking afterwards. When I expressed my concern to the staff, they were defensive and did not apologize or take any responsibility whatsoever. If you are a sensitive person, I do not recommend that you visit this store, especially if you are sick or feeling vulnerable, which ironically is where one often goes when not well, a chemist! I've never experienced a more hostile pharmacy.

Great service, convenient hours!

My husband went and got my 3 lots of heart medication on Saturday evening just gone and I was absolutely appauled by the prices of 2 of my medications as they were $15.00 more on each packet thats a total of $30 more then what I would normally pay. My other packet of medication was just under $2.00 dearer then what I would normally pay ..now that I can deal with but $30 extra is disgusting. I rang and questioned this and the guy I spoke to was just like oh well and had attitude with me and told me to ring the owner on Monday so I just done that and let me tell you she was just a rude cow and didn't care less and said basically we don't price match and because I live in a city (which i dont) i get it cheaper and I said so thats that then she goes yep....no apology and didn't care less.....im surprised you still have a business with an attitude like that...I wont be back

I visit this bussiness on a regular basis and I'm sorry Jasmine but I think you are delusional. Your review is 100% incorrect.As a local resident I always have the best experience at East Ballina Amcal and am always treated with an enormous amount of respect and kindness.All of the staff are extremely knowledgeable in every aspect and product of the pharmacy and all of the pharmacists are always sympathetic and caring in their approach. They go out of their way to help you and you can see that they love what they do. They really want to help and make sure you leave the pharmacy happy and satisfied.I have never had a bad experience in this shop and would recommend everyone to visit at least once to meet this amazing crew.☺
