Thilba Thalba Walkers' Camp

One of the walkers camps along the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk.Beautiful views at sunset . A nice tidy camp ground . One eco loo on-site, byo toilet paper as not a reliable supply. Tank water which needs treating before consumption, might pay to check with ranger if relying on this as supply for hike. 2 picnic type tables. Platforms at each camp site.

Incredible view. I'm always amazed at the cleanliness of walkers' camps. This one had wooden tables and benches, tank water, soap, toilet, toilet paper, a flat campsite and raised wooden platforms for each campsite.

Good overnight spot. Would get 5 stars if there was a firepit available for cool nights

Very good for a walkers camp! Drop toilet, water and soap. Top of the hill with some table and chairs, very nice.

Great facilities for a remote walkers camp. Has a large rainwater tank and decent drop toilet. Excellent lookout and place to sit. Plenty of tables with a bit one at each site. Many also have log stools which are great too. Much better than Ubajee so well worth the trek up Thilba Thalia mountain.

Hiked from the M4 parking lot down to the valley and back up the other mountain. About 5 hours.Camp ground was really nice with several beautiful views along the way. Toilets, several Camp sites, but no fires allowed.Really steep climb from the waterfall up to the camp ground.

Thilba Thilba Walkers Camp provides multiple campsites for bushwalkers doing the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk. However it is also an excellent option for folk seeking shorter overnight walks. It is reached from either Gheerulla Falls parking area or the camping area at the end of Sam Kelly Road. Both involved an uphill walk. A slightly longer overnighter is also possible from Leafy Lane parking area in Mapleton. The camp offers flat sites around seat height camping tables. Standard great walk fare. Thilba Thalba also offer great views from the camping area and a couple of picnic tables. An excellent day return walk destination as well.
