A loyal customer but, No refund for unopened paints and other products. People can t make errors while purchasing in this shop. And it has to be said the customer service super Rude with a dash of neurosis’s. Oh and Don’t ask questions when your in the shop about products they’ll just tell you to do your research!! Unhelpful and dismissive tone. And that was the manager! Not interested in helping at all!! Who the Flip do these people think they are when addressing customers obvs not getting paid enough or something to give a cup of F’s about return clients.If your looking for a Tude that gets under the skin head on over to Kadmium!

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Went in to get framing done. It was a Sunday and was told no one was available (which was fair enough) but to choose the frame we wanted and someone will be in contact. A month later I've left multiple phone messages, gone in multiple times, no one got back to me. Finally went instore again only to be told we don't offer framing"

Kadmium Ultimo is the best art store within walking distance of broadway and has a great range of stuff. Sometimes they are understaffed but they do care about their customers.I had a problem with a product and had to rush off so I left a note at the front desk. I had missed a couple of phone calls and over time actually forgot about it but Rose persisted until she got me and whilst unable to offer a refund, gave me store credit even though she had no obligation to.Great customer service!

Very slow to process orders. They charged us a $12 priority order fee on top of postage, but 3 days later they still hadn't processed it or mailed our order out. We cancelled the order and won't shop with them again.

I wish I'd checked these reviews before I wasted my time with this business. Almost a week after placing my order the status still said 'awaiting fulfillment'. I needed this product fairly urgently (which is why I'd paid their exorbitant express postage fee) so I contacted them via email to find out when it would be dispatched.The next day they emailed me and said that they were out of stock, that they'd been unable to contact me on the phone number I'd supplied and I was 'in line' for a refund. I contacted them again and asked why they (a) didn't simply email me to let me know this and (b) why they hadn't already refunded me, given they'd known for almost a week that they couldn't supply what I'd purchased.Unbelievably, I was then told (via email) that they'd tried to email me but their emails had bounced back - probably because I have 'security measures for spam' on my account according to them. Funny how these security measures (which I DON'T have by the way) didn't stop their order confirmation email from reaching my inbox, nor did it stop the subsequent email they sent to tell me they hadn't been able to reach me on my phone!It's also going to take them 7 to 10 business days to process my refund via PayPal - which is a joke - so I can see a PayPal dispute looming on their horizon! Reading through similar reviews here I can only conclude that Kadmium Art & Design Supplies is a poorly run, poorly stocked business run by staff who treat customers like they're idiots. My suggestion would be that people give it a big miss.....*update* Sure enough there is now a PayPal dispute in progress, but no-one from Kadmium has bothered to respond to it. Business must be pretty lousy if they're struggling to issue a $17 refund......

My favorite art store in Sydney due to the superb customer service. The gentleman who works on the weekends is super helpful and accommodating. He helped me pick out my first sketch book and graphite pencils. He even showed me a few drawing tricks! I’ll be back

Great art supplier, good customer service, very reasonably priced, process orders and ships quickly. Kept me stocked in essentials for running my design business during the corona lockdown. Thanks so much, would definitely recommend!

Everytime I've ordered something (3 times over the past year or so) they've had to call me to alter the order as it's not in stock. I understand sometimes inventory systems go wrong, but they had over a year to fix it.For my most recent order, they had my order for over a week before I messaged them to ask if it had shipped, that's when they called me to change my order as it wasn't in stock.I'm sorry, but I just think this isn't acceptable.

I asked for an acrylic spray sealant so that an Aboriginal artwork that my good mate painted would not smudge if it got water on it. I told her that I had multiple artworks. She said that she had no spray but that another product “Atelier Traditional Matte Varnish” and an acrylic brush would do the trick and protect it as long as it was with acrylic paint. I checked with my mate the artist and he confirmed that it was acrylic. I used the product when I got home and it smudged the paint. I called the shop up and she took no responsibility at all for it. I asked for a refund and she said no and proceeded to tell me how it wasn’t her fault because she hadn’t come to my home and applied it herself. She admitted she just sold the products and did not know their purpose. Very upsetting that the artwork is now smudged. I would not recommend this art shop.

I had an excellent time at Kadmium, purchased some reasonably priced items and was expertly and efficiently assisted by a red headed gentleman who was beyond generous with his time and helped me decide which materials best suited my project. I wonder if the disgruntled reviewers here have taken a bad attitude instore and been awful to staff? Thanks Kadmium: heaps of good quality items, conveniently located, fairly priced, I will be back.
