Silly Old Grandad. Forgot to organise a gift for “about to turn eight” granddaughter prior to heading overseas. Too late for online purchase from somewhere “down south”. What to do?? Panic!!Alfreds to the rescue. The brilliant on line virtual tour of the shop and all the great gift ideas available. Excellent communication response through Facebook Messenger and five star service. Gift wrapped with card and dispatched by mail to a Darwin rural area address; nothing seemed too much trouble for these guys. Adds weight to the suggestion that one should shop local. Have always loved this shop.Five stars Alfreds. Cheers.

I had them sharpen two knives of mine which I had been rather rough with out bush, The photo probably does no justice ,but to have these blades be of the cutting quality, that which I wanted and expected to be cheaply, expediently and proffesionallly done and have that assurance of a Sharpe edge was beyond satisfactory, I am a happy customer.Also discussing the subject matter of knives, it was beyond marketing, I could tell the staff had a legitimate keen interest in the subject of knives and could suggest and advice accordingly because it came from a place of knowledgable and genuine interest.

Amazing customer service! Knew they sold knives but didn't expect the owner to have such an extensive knowledge about them. Products are of very high quality and I feel confident with my purchase. Will definitely be coming back!

I went into Alfred’s today to get my daughter a birthday present, was extremely happy with my purchase. Such a lovely environment to shop in and great costumer service. Definitely would recommend Alfred’s, this shop would be perfect for this time of the year to purchase Christmas gifts. Alfred’s has a range of items so it is perfect throughout the whole year for shopping. :)

Impressive owner with excellent knife knowledge. His customer service was second to none and he looked after us with no hesitation. Offered postage for our knives back to us in Melbourne. Highly recommended if you are looking for a knife shop in Darwin or NT. Thanks again!

Phenomenal service! Just went through to browse for presents but ended up asking a question or two about the knives and honing stones they sell. The 2 staff were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly!
