BIG4 Iluka on Freycinet Holiday Park

Fantastic location, very clean and tidy amenities, ideally located within walking distance to the beach and restaurant. Just a short drive or walk to Freycinet National Park. Waking up and looking out onto the Ocean is great, even the amenities have a view!

We were warmly welcomed by the office staff and local destinations highlighted. We had a night in a cabin, although it was an older style cabin it had everything that we needed. The bathroom was a little pokey, but who cares when all you need is to have a shower, use the toilet facilities and brush your teeth?We had a lovely view over Coles Bay. My husband and 2 of my children had the best time fishing off a local pier at sunset and I am sure they will remember their time for a while longer.The communal showers provided were clean and provided an excellent shower when we all needed to shower. Laundry was available at $5 per load (for both the washing machine and drier).

We have a wonderful stay at this campground ⛺️in June 2023. Equip with full kitchen facilities & spacious rooms. Come with strong wifi too in the room

Great little caravan park, we only stayed 1 night in a cabin as it was close to our cruise we where going on. It was Clean, had linen supplied and the bed was comfy. The pub was nice and close with nice meals. No complaints from us, thumbs up

When it comes to camping, having access to clean and functioning facilities can make or break the experience.One of the most concerning issues that the camper faced was a toilet that was overrun with red ants. Not only would this make using the facilities uncomfortable and potentially unsanitary, it could also pose a risk to the camper's health. In addition to the ant problem, the camper also experienced issues with the amenities at the campsite. Specifically, the lights in the facilities would not turn on until it was very dark outside.Another issue that the camper faced was slow wifi. While some may argue that wifi isn't essential for camping, many people rely on it for various reasons.Despite having camped at four other sites in Tasmania, I felt that this was the worst of the lot - even with the high price they were charging. While it's impossible to guarantee a perfect camping experience every time, it's important for campsite owners and managers to take these types of issues seriously and work to address them for the safety and enjoyment of their guests.

Our 6 bed cabin at Illuka was okay, the cabin is tired and worn. There was mould in the bathroom, the curtains had so many holes in them and the heater didn’t heat up the space. We expected a little better for the average cost for this cabin.

Close to a beach, shops and tavern. The camp is clean and caters to a large range of campers. The park has good facilities. We stayed in the on-site cabins which are comfortable enough but pretty close together. However that's pretty normal living in a caravan park.

Family of 4 stayed for 2 nights in 2-bedroom cabin. Cabin was large with a full modern kitchen. Beds were very comfortable. Would definitely stay again. Laundry was pretty pricy @ $5ea for the washing machine & dryer.

A very nice cabin close to the beach and with friendly staff. Comfortable, warm and modern with a full kitchen. We couldn’t connect to the wifi from our cabin which would have been nice for the price.
