National Pharmacies

Very bad experience with this particular pharmacy. We recently purchased via script what we thought was a child's dose of the influenza vaccine from National Pharmacies, Glenelg. As our doctor prepared and checked the dose for our two year old boy she was shocked to see we had been given an adults dose. Thank goodness we have a great doctor that follows safety protocols put in place to prevent mistakes like this. It seems National Pharmacies, Glenelg don't. I will never trust this pharmacist again, I recommend you don't either.

Have been a National Pharmacies member for years.Love their cosmetics department and lovely lady who works in there. However in the pharmacy part I have witnessed and personally experienced very poor customer service.Particularly from pharmacist on Wed evening. Was the last straw.I needed a script filled, went in as usual, the QR code didn’t work because of another chemist printing error (or who knows what). Pharmacist said “sorry it’s not working, I can’t help you” then as I stood there completely bewildered (saying nothing) she proceeded to head back to her work space at the back and muttered, “well you left it a bit late”! Wow. If only you knew lady!I raced around trying to figure out how to sort this out and the next pharmacy I tried (which I had never been to), the guy went out of his way to help me and managed to sort it out.Thankful that I had the capacity to sort it out but so many people I know couldn’t have. This felt like business, not health care unfortunately.

Do yourself a favour and drive the extra 10 min to Ascot Park NP, staff are not friendly, do not listen and have nothing but issues with my scripts since coming here. Have moved on elsewhere. Maybe I'm used to the great staff at NP Semaphore in which glenelg could take a lesson from.

National pharmacy, Glen Osmond Road, Adelaide SA. I am 68 years old, and a retired lawyer. I went in to buy lipstick. I was followed around by someone who called the place ‘my shop’. She made it clear she was afraid I would apply the lipstick directly to my own lips and given a small lipstick brush. I accepted it and assured her I wouldn’t do such a thing, but she kept following me and reminded me unnecessarily and unexpectedly to wrap the lipstick brush in the tissue she had given me and to put it in the bin she pointed to. Her attitude was accusing and rude. I felt like a criminal and so I left without buying anything.

Went to get a script which is not on the PBS. Every other Chemist charges approx $42 for this script but National Pharmacies charge $52 and refused to price match. Absolutely disgusting.

Absolutely disgusted after calling this Pharmacy tonight in tears needing to access an amount of my regular medication in an emergency, after being told by multiple other chemists they could help and from Health SA that they could, the medicine not being an abused or sheduled one. After being a member and customer for years, flat out denied in a health crisis. He could see on his system which medication I need to take regularly, and knew I was in high distress confusion and pain. Should be shut down, NOT HEALTH CARE.

Bought travelen here glad when I left I checked the expiry date it was two months past use by date. Went back got a refund . But the lady said she only checked the use by dates the other day. Which couldn't be true . Lack of honesty annoyed me.

I booked to have flu vaccination when I spoke to pharmacist I mentioned I wanted to have Covid injections at same time. Was told that was ok just to mention that when I got there.However when I requested Covid was told didn’t have any in fridge. I have a very low immune system so this was important to have both together.Had to book another appointment. Very dissatisfied because I was told not a problem! There’s a $10 fee which also meant an extra fee to be paid.If it’s not possible please do not mislead patients!

Rediculus they just put a notice in the front closed Thursday 7 how do we know they closed it early just for that Thursday. My doct sent prescription directly over there and I need it but no one helped me. Staff were really rudeDiscusting
