Coolangatta Pie Shop
Ive been a local for 35 years and i remember when cooly pie shop was the place. Management and recipes have changed over the years and not for the better imo.. so i have popped in from time to time to see how things are. Bought a chicken and mushroom pie.. usually anywhere else you get chicken and mushroom in some sort of creamy white sauce.. this was dark as, like a beef pie, and full of carrot and other veggies.. but the taste is what matters.. and it wasnt good. Luckily i have a pie shop close to home with the best pies ever, and gold medal winner umpteen times.

Cooly pies are always a great spot for me to stop and grab a pie when I'm down that way in the morning. Never had a bad pie here tbh. They're on the smaller side, but that just means I can grab two :D Hopefully, they'll always be around, as it's been there as long as I can remember

Absolutely appalling for a pie that you pay $6.50 for to just be completely fall apart within seconds of perches. One of the worst pies I’ve eaten in my life.

As Gibbons wrote of the demise of that once great Empire with lofty prose, so too should we mourn the fall of what was once a beacon for hungry locals in the wee hours, an all-hours institution of pastry, a bastion for border-dwelling sausage roll and pie lovers. Now closed by 3pm and offering a somewhat mediocre product; Requiem In Pace, Coolangatta Pie Shop, Requiem In Pace.

Coolangatta pie shop has a variety of pastries, pies and goodies..We tried a couple of different pies. The Chicken Mornay was delightful and yummy. However the pepper pie was indeed very peppery, I would only recommend this to those who are die hard pepper fans... As for the chunky steak pie, this was very tasty however I found mine was lacking that chunkiness" that good chunky steak pies contain.As for the coconut slice
