Purchased a phone for my 89 year old mother from CARLINGFORD branch with clear instructions that I wanted something easy for her to use. Salesperson advises a uniden sight sound was best.Took the phone home and connected it up and after any calls there was a bright red light flashing. Turned out to be that because I have a message bank with my provider this light flashes for some reason.Took phone back to return it due to this and the following happened.Firstly shop opened 10 minutes late (9.10)Then I asked for a refund and was presented to the manager whom left me at a desk and walked off. Upon return I explained all and he said tuff luck there is nothing wrong with the phone!He then plugged it in and proved this but as I said my mother can’t work with a flashing light that you can only turn off by unplugging it (which she can’t do).He said get in contact with your provider and they will have to fix it. If they can’t bring it back for a refund.I did this but as I can’t have the message bank off the phone still flashes.So returned again and he renigged on the refund offer and said it wasn’t his problem.I’ve been purchasing from Bing Lee for over 30 years but will never again!

Purchase a tv on Monday 13 march 2023. , tv have a crack on the screen, contact, the store what ask to bring the TV down I bring the TV down the-manager. Michael have a look at it and refused to change.

Unhappy customerItem in stock when ordered, then received email saying out of stock delay 2 weeks. Received another email with a further 4 week delay even though website still said in stock. Canceled order and received from another supplier within the week of ordering.

Absolutely outstanding in every way from the moment I stepped into the Macquarie Centre Bing Lee and was served by Chris, to the moment my washing machine was delivered, installed and the old one removed. Courteous, knowledgeable, efficient, obliging. I could not fault any aspect of the service I have received from Bing Lee. Thank you Chris and all.

The service at Bing Lee Haymarket is disgusting. Really terrible led by a few old man and an old woman at the counter. Never smile once speaking in strange language, yelling never friendly. Come on guys u can do better,.

I have had to purchase household items in the last 10 days or so and I have needed them rather quickly due to my circumstances and I want to praise the staff at Bennetts Green, Newcastle. My encounter with Philippa, who then made contact with the loading dock staff (Leigh and Mitch) at the Thornton Bing Lee has been wonderful. I am most impressed with their flexibility, their kindness and thoughtfulness. Thank you and Merry Christmas...

Purchased a brand new Samsung TV for $4500, 4 days after purchasing the coaxial cable fell off in my hand, have been trying to get it replaced since then, which was November 4th, still no replacement, still waiting on various call backs and NOTHING! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!

To add to the reviews here… Before I begin, I don’t believe the customer is always right (having worked in customer service whilst studying at uni). Our vacuum cleaner handle broke yesterday after 11 months. Not an issue (or so I thought) as I had both the receipt and under two year warranty. I went in to the Rhodes branch yesterday and they told me to bring in the vacuum cleaner along with the receipt and guarantee - which I did. Turned up today and the sales assistant looked at the cleaner and said it had been used, and I proceeded to explain what had happened. I was then informed it was broken and it was my fault, again I explained that it was under warranty. The sales assistant informed me that, if I wanted it fixed, I would need to pay for a new one or for a repair. By this point I was getting frustrated and explained that, as a senior manager in FMCG, was aware of my rights as a consumer under the competition and consumer act (2010). I then pointed out the law to the employee (it was stated on both the manufacturer guarantee and BL’s documentation). The employee laughed and told me there were many aspects of law… Retail, property etc. He then proceeded to tell me the vacuum was dirty and needed to be cleaned… Warranted there was a small amount of residue in the container, so I went outside and emptied it in a bin. When I took it back the employee stated it still had dust residue (this was a HEPA cleaner so you can imagine how inconsequential this was) and recommended I WASH it in water. Now, we all know that washing anything electrical is probably not a great idea, but this even had a massive warning sign as the compartment is placed in the top of a core electrical component. I left the store and called head office. Initially I was told nothing could be done but then, after hanging up, I was called straight back - i assume as all calls are recorded. The lady who returned my call was amazing, and actually helpful. Subsequently the vacuum cleaner was accepted back and sent back to the manufacturer for repair. Now technically, if a good is faulty and within warranty, you are entitled to a replacement or refund. However, by this point I couldn’t be bothered to argue, and I will follow up with Fair Trading - I also didn’t want to cause issues for the lady who called me back to help. This isn’t a case of bad consumer service, this is a blatant disregard for consumer fair trading. Having read the reviews on Google, I’ll never purchase from BingLee again.

Terrible customer service and incredibly dismissive and unprofessional staff. The negative reviews here seem to speak for themselves.They delivered our new fridge and left our old massive fridge on our wooden balcony. When we called them, they were very rude and completely dismissed any of our concerns that the balcony could collapse under the weight and that there's no way to bring the fridge down from the balcony even though it was them who left it there. They also left us 2 weeks with no answer to our complaint, when we called them to chase them up they lied about the fact that they had called us the week prior and washed their hands from any responsibility towards their customers. Never buying from them again.

Can understand why bing lee Tuggerah closed and why Erina store closing in February. Purchased a dish washer and was to be delivered today. Delivery and install was $120 on top of purchase price. Just rang to find that deliveey wasn't listed on the order. Since i will be away on holiday, which i advised the store, best i can get is a 15 day delay. Apologies from store manager is not good enough as I have to pay for carer duties to leave my house as 95 yr old lives with me. I will have a house sitter while I'm away but will not put this job on to him. No offer of install or delivery as an opology. Never again. Will go back to tried and true service.
