Great space with lots of tools, friendly people, and clean work spaces, I'll be spending a fair bit of time here working on electronics and programming projects.

Visited there almost every Thursday night for the 16 months I was in Hobart. Fantastic people, all intelligentsia, very knowledgeable. They are a group of people with a varied range of skills through computers, CNC milling, 3D printing and robots. All visitors welcomed.

The best thing for serious electronics/technology hobbyists in Hobart. For those who don't know. A hackerspace (or makerspace) is a place where you can go to to use machinery (such as CNC machines, 3D printers, laser printers) to make (usually electronics) projects. it's also a great place to share knowledge and ask for help with technical projects. There are regular Wednesday social nights, where you can expect to see a healthy number of people. Don't be afraid to come along. Someone will happily give you a tour of the place, and the members are quite friendly and knowledgeable. So chances are, you'll have something to talk about. It runs entirely on volunteers who sacrifice their time to keep the place running. As such, workshops and events are limited, but we're always keen to change that.
