What a fantastic pub with possibly the nicest, most friendly and helpful bar person in Queensland. Maylene doing a selfie with us in the photos is a valuable asset to the owners of the hotel and it was obvious why she had worked there for 4 years. She loves her job and everyone loves her. The locals drinking there were all very friendly and helpful too.The pool table is free and all the schooners are only $5 all day Sunday. They also have daily happy hours and skimpy bar maid on Thursday and Friday. If you are camped at the Gordonvale free campsite just up the road, you can easily walk to the pub by following the concrete path across the creek at the back of the campsite. All 3 hotels in Gordonvale are owned by the same owners and they share the courtesy bus, which operates after 5pm. So that is a great option if you don't want to walk. Just give them a ring and they will come and pick you up for free. They don't do food but the Parkview Hotel next door has a bistro for food and neither pub had cider on tap, only beer. The third hotel is only for accommodation at this stage.
