Amcal Pharmacy

These guys have consistently gone above and beyond. When I had to monitor my blood pressure during pregnancy, they were happy to test it every week for free. When I needed to get my doctor to email a script to them, the pharmacist kept calling the doctor's office until they got the script and then called me to let me know she had succeeded. The staff give the impression that they genuinely care about the health and wellbeing of their clients.

Amcal and Priceline and the 3rd small pharmacy are all on by the same owner. They fix prices and most medication‘s are around 50% and in some cases a lot more expensive than any other pharmacy around the area. They have formed a monopoly, and dictate customers that they buy their medication’s more expensive. The small pharmacy not far away outside the shopping center is a lot cheaper than anywhere else. You will find more cheaper medications. So if someone needs regular prescription medications, I would strongly recommend to look elsewhere, outside the shopping center. Because you’re gonna be stung by inflated prices which are often unreasonable, this pharmacy or the price line or the third once owned by the same owner will never price match or give you medications at a fair price. They have purposely bought the other pharmacies and they don’t want any competition. in other words they want to kill competition. I think Customers should think before, and plan to make their choices. 50% increase on prescription medication script mean hundreds if not, thousands of dollars each year if you attend one of these pharmacies. Amcal in Macquarie Centre has been serving me exceptionally well... it has been able to accomodate my needs...Lia as pharmacist has been very helpful... i have quite special request for one prescription... Amcal and all the pharmacist have been able to fulfilled almost immediately... good work and great place to shop for your medical needs...

Staff are both helpful and attentive. Saha gave me one of the most painless flu vaccines I have ever had. Recommended!

To be honest I don’t think the staff working there are aware of anything happening in this pharmacy. I’ve hot a call from one of the staff on Thursday and they’ve told me they’ll hold a medication for me till Saturday (as friday was public holiday), I went there on Saturday and know one literally knew what’s happening ( they’ve looked like a very brand new staff which hasn’t been trained) they waisted my time travelling to macquarie centre and not giving anything back. Very disappointing

My family have used Amcal for several years. I have done positive reviews for them before but feel they deserve another one.The staff have always been helpful , supportive and friendly. The pharmacist LIA is willing and available to talk to. I feel like an individual who matters when I deal with them. I think this service should be acknowledged. It makes a difference to me! What a great place to go when you need some advice. The team are always available to help. Great product range, great pricing and great service.

Life savers!!!!!! I highly recommend this Pharmacy!!!!!I needed to order a very hard to find medication and Lia was able to supply the item and always let's me know when my repeat is ready. They even helped me with home delivery when I was sick with Covid.

I don’t normally use this pharmacy however it was near work and I needed to fill a prescription. My fairly basic prescription cost 25% more than Terry White ($25 instead of $20) and even more than chemist warehouse. It took about 20mins and I guess in a busy shopping centre this can happen. I picked up a couple of other fairly low cost items. At the checkout the lady over charged me about $7 and think she double charged me oner of my items. When I corrected her she didn’t have a very good attitude. I asked her not to tape up the paper bag but she did so anyway. When I was home I put my prescription paper away however found they had stapled on a political piece against the federal government as the backing of the prescription. I would prefer they publish their editorial on their web site or include a separate flyer if they want to say something and not staple it to my prescription. Never want to use this pharmacy again.
