A new & very welcome addition to the Oakleigh dining scene. The food was delicious - the lamb dumplings were superb. So glad to see Afghan food back in Portman Street. We will be back.

Thankyou for the excellent service. The food was amazingly superb. For this reason we have decided to book the whole ŕestaurant for a private function with live music and celebrations in the near future. We'll done.

We just finished a birthday celebration at 62republica and couldn’t be happier!Jimmy was a pleasure to deal with in organising our event, very responsive to questions and went out of his way to ensure that the day was special to celebrate our mum’s birthday. The atmosphere and size was perfect for a group of 17 adults and 5 children and every course of our meal was delicious.Would 100% recommend 62republica for a lovely day and wonderful service - we will definitely be back!

TLDR: delicious, authentic food, good service. Will be back.I usually head out to Dandenong for my Afghan food fix. I was super excited to see this restaurant pop up nearby. The owner was lovely, so warm and welcoming.And the main event, the food, didn’t disappoint either. Everything was so yummy and authentic. We got the mantu (dumplings). They were flavoursome little morsels covered in delicious tomato-lentil sauce with just the right amount of yoghurt and mint. Yum. Wish I had more.We also got the mixed grill. The meat was deliciously tender. The simple salad is the perfect addition, and the sauces complement the meat nicely. I’m a fan of the vinegary sauce. Plus, this dish comes with rice too. This dish looks simple, but it’s got everything you need.One of the nice surprises was my mocktail. The perfect amount of sweet and refreshing.I’ll be coming back, you should too.

I was in the area looking for afghan food. Never regretted my experience in this place. It seems new and we got a very warm welcome and a very delicious chicken skewers male.Thank you and wish you best

Despite living in Dandenong and area with tons of Afghan spots today me and 6 of my friends decided to try the new restaurant in Oakleigh..was blown away everything fresh flavorful favorite is the mix grill and if I was to pick I would say the lamb everything was cooked well yet still very juicy..it came with chutney a green spicy sauce which was absolutely fresh you can taste the herbs lemon and vinger..the bread was gd although it was thin and not as fluffy as we normally used to..the service from the 3 guys including owner wad excellent..very impressed we will be back!

Wow, what a beautiful restaurant. Authentic Afghan delicacies with homely warm service. Flew in from New Zealand and have not had anything as delicious. The food is absolutely yummy and we even ordered extra take away, and have been back 3 times and can’t wait to eat here again. Thank you we honestly can’t recommend it enough because food is life and 62 Republica you done it again beyond our expectations.

A beautiful place and the food was simply amazing! Check with them as they have another amazing restaurant in Pakenham. Hopefully will definitely visit that as well! Highly recommend this place as it was simply amazing! I live very close to it and it's great to see restaurants like this open so close to me!

We ordered the dumplings, lamb korma, spinach korma and eggplant korma. Everything was so delicious and the service was amazing. So happy to have an Afghan place in Oakleigh.
