Brainworks Doncaster

Both my daughter and son have attended Brainworks Balwyn/Doncaster. Honestly, I attribute almost all of their success to the preparations provided by Brainworks (my children also worked hard too!). As an example, my daughter was just below the 80th percentile in English/Writing for NAPLAN in late April 2022. When she took her scholarship exams, in both the ACER and AAS exams, her writing was at the 96 and 95th percentiles. She also received two very, very generous scholarships to two highly regarded girls private schools. My son was prepared for the Melbourne High exam and he achieved four superiours, out of five, easily attaining entry. I am well educated myself, two Masters degrees, but, honestly, I could not have done this myself, Brainworks was instrumental in my children's achievements and I could not recommend them highly enough, they are attentive, easy to work with, and pay attention to all of the necessary details. Both my kids attend the Brainworks at Doncaster. I believe being in a classroom environment (large space with around 20 kids) but still only having 3/4 kids in a group with one dedicated teacher allows the kids to both push themselves further and reach out for guidance when needed. Meg is very passionate and is very thorough in not only her feedback for every child but also for focussing on the gaps every child needs to address. Weekly worksheets, have helped both my kids maintain a great routine at home and practice in their own time and raise questions with the tutors in class. I have certainly seen a difference in writing and numeracy in both my kids. The best thing about the program is every child can progress at their own pace but with continuous guidance and support from the tutors and Meg. Both my children are ahead of their class and this provides them with great motivation to continue learning.

My 13 year old son has been attending attending Brainworks for the last 4 years. With the support of the the Brainworks team, my son was successful is securing a SEAL position. The team assessed my son’s abilities and customised a program for him. Each week he is given worksheets to practice, he is given practical feedback and taught exam techniques. I believe this gives him an edge on school tests. Meg’s team is like a family they provide academic support AND positive encouragement for every child to fulfil their full potential. Now my son is preparing for the Year 9 selective entry exam with Brainworks.Stella, mother of 13 year old, excelling at school thanks to Brainworks.

Both my sons have greatly benefited from attending classes at Brainworks Doncaster. As no child is the same, I have a 12yr old son attending the Foundation Extension program and a 7yr old son attending the Selective School Exam Preparation program. There is a tailored program for all children, regardless of their academic abilities. Teachers work together with the students to target areas of weakness and provide the necessary tools for improvement. The lovely teachers and materials provided are of a high caliber and everyone is invested in the children’s education success.

I can thoroughly recommend Brainworks after my 11 year old attended classes at year 6 level.By the end of the year, his Math and English was at year 8 level. The individual assistance he received throughout the year vastly helped him grasp a solid foundation for his transition into high school.I feel that face to face tutoring is a better approach than online which I believe produced superior results and I'm happy we were able to achieve that with Brainworks.

My children have made huge progress in 2 terms of completing the Brainworks Program. Their confidence has grown and they can see the improvement in their own knowledge and skills. The staff are wonderful to work with and my children feel very comfortable in the environment. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to either improve or extend their childrens skills in numeracy and literacy.

My 2 girls (9 and 11 year old) join Foundation course in Brainworks Doncaster, I am very impressed on how my girls have improved. My elder girl was very weak in both English and Maths, after serval months of learning in Brainsworks, she can also notice she got improved. My younger girl has no idea how to write a good paragraph at the beginning, after studying at Brainsworks, she get confident on writing. I can see her writing from 1 big paragraph with few sentences only turn into proper layout with few paragraphs together with each main point. The teachers can guide my girls think deeper and go further on how to improve their skills. Thank you Meg and the team. I highly recommend this center.

I'm pretty satisfied with Brainworks Doncaster with my child becoming confident with Maths from being afraid of it. Their systematic approach in making your child become comfortable with easier topics before getting into harder topics, and the emphasis on regular practise enables them to become comfortable with Maths, becoming stronger in basic building blocks and growing confident on attempting topics they are not fully confident yet. I highly recommend Brainworks Doncaster.

My son goes to Brainworks Doncaster, and I am very impressed with the coaching. The teachers are experts in their subjects and coach the kids really well. Very professional in approach and systematic in training. The teachers are very kind to the kids and my son enjoys going to Brainworks! I have seen a huge improvement in my son. Excellent experience with Brainworks Doncaster who helped prepare our child for a selective school exam. We appreciated the personalised feedback, extra online resources, and the friendly, warm and responsive approach of Meg and her team.
