I got myself the cinnamon croissant and it was amazing! They had such a great range of pastries and bread. Sourdough also looked awesome. Will be back for more!

As I walk past those other Bakeries whose pastries could be safely stored for decades and remain in tact, I think of the money I'd save if I subjected what's left of my earthly sack of biology to their garish, spongy-soft wares. But I move along, and steel myself for the temptation and it's price. The temptation is met with excellent pastries, both sweet and savoury....and some very decent breads. Too bad their rye isnt 100pc rye, or I'd lather on about it too. 2 sweet and 2 savoury pastries here ran $34...they also ran wild with the good stuff. Butter vs glow in the dark chemicals...its a choice...

Black Cockatoo is my favourite bakery ever. The sourdough loaves are all incredible (they make for excellent toast), the baguettes are so tasty (I’ve been known to eat a whole baguette in one sitting), and the pastries are insane - crispy, creatively flavoured and pretty to look at. They also make the BEST vegan croissant I’ve ever eaten! I hope that one day they make a vegan almond or chocolate croissant too. Also they make nice coffee and chai.

Outstanding bakery with a great range of breads and a few pastries. We purchased a plain croissant, chocolate croissant and cinnamon scroll. All were superb and delicious.My personal favourite was the chocolate croissant which has so many fine layers and a buttery consistency. It was so good I had to go back and buy another two.Just picture Homer Simpson drooling at thought of his favourite food, it’s that good!

Love the pastries at this place. It's takeaway only (apart from 1 table outside) but that's not an issue at all.There are loads of spots across the street where you can sit around and enjoy the good coffee and pastries!

One of the best bakeries in the state hands down, always trying new things in terms of flavour combinations, but doing justice to the French classics as well. Alex is a talented pastry chef, and Denya with other front staff are very easy going and friendly. If ever in the mountains, do yourself a favour and go there.

Great pastries, they can sell out quickly so best to check their Instagram for their specials! Love their danishes and their quiches. Had the mushroom and pancetta quiche and their eggplant zaatar pastry and both were delicious.
