The Old Vic Inn

Lots of character with comfortable rooms. Amenities were sufficient for our purposes, but room does not have a fridge or a TV, so if having these is important to you (it wasn't to us), this may not be the place for you. Shower had plenty of hot water and great water pressure.

We stayed at the Old Vic Inn on Saturday and Sunday nights over the long weekend and wow what an experience!! From the moment we arrived our hosts Graeme and Alison made us feel so welcome. Our room was beautiful old charm, extremely clean and the bed was so comfy. It was a very cold weekend and even though split system heating was provided we didn't need it our room was toasty warm and the fireplace in the lounge area downstairs was cozy and a great atmosphere. Graeme and Alison took time out to come and chat with us on both nights while we had drinks in the lounge before dinner which was lovely. We dined in their restaurant both nights and were not disappointed, all our meals were amazing. Thank you Graeme and Alison and your staff for your great hospitality, I would highly recommend The Old Vic Inn for a relaxing old charm experience. We will definitely be back.

If it were pretty to give it minus five stars, I would. The Owner is more concerned about his neighbours than the wellbeing of the guests. All I can say is never encountered someone as cruel as the owner and a place with worst possible customer service on the planet. Visit at your own risk learnt my lesson.

Dropped in for dinner and a couple of drinks. Super friendly service and the food was to die for. Worth every cent. Highly recommend staying here. Great fireplace beers and wine.

An absoloutly phenomenal place to stay. The staff and owners are nothing short of exceptional. Value for money is exceptional, beautifull room, comfortable bedding and amenities and excellent food. This will be my go-to place whenever I'm in the area.To top it off the bar is exceptionally well priced.

Staff were friendly and helpful! old fashion building, fireplaces and cute decorations inside. the room was spacious and comfortable. from the window there was a beautiful view of the garden! dinner was not bad but overpriced. breakfast does not contain hot food and has only instant coffee

Gorgeous building and cozy interior. Lovely service. Took a room on the first floor with access to the verandah looking over Main Street. Wonderful experience, enjoying the evening sun with a cold beer. Restaurant food was yum but a little underwhelming.

Very disappointed, no kettle for coffee in room no tv or microwave, as I work away from home I require these creature comforts. Also went to have a shower and no water hopefully never have to stay there again. Not to mention the dusty and stained bedding

The Old Vic Inn has lots of old charm, but it does need some new energy.The staff aren't quite ready for guests with diverse ages, so younger guests can feel a bit out of place with some of the assumptions that the hosts make. The breakfast room is self served and really basic, but that could be lifted up with a few minor changes that aren't expensive.Our room was nice - very quaint and definitely had some quirks, but we were comfortable.
