Falls Creek Country Club
The room has a strange smell, the bathroom design is unreasonable, and after checking out, I deducted 50 dollars for the small garbage on the ground without permission even though we did our best to clean up without the harvesting tools. Not going to consider country club next year

This place is great, rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious. The pool is a great way to relax at the end of a working day. I'll definitely be coming back.

I have stayed at Falls Creek Country Club on numerous occasions over many years. I can honestly say, it has changed. The staff are rude and not welcoming like before. For a hospitality business, the least they can do is be accommodating. Unfortunately for a business that has been around for this long, it is sad to see that the standard has dropped. I understand this is the first year after covid, and things have changed. But they need do more. I am most likely will never return to this hotel.

We came to falls creek in summer and stayed here for some days. Not many ppl at all, very quiet. The receptionist was very welcoming, nice and helpful. The room was kinda studio type room, bedroom with kitchen. But it’s quite spacious for us. In the kitchen, there were a mini fridge, oven, electric stove (4 burners), microwave oven, cutleries, crockeries, foil, glad wrap, cooking utensils, etc. The fridge was small, tiny freezer.2 wardrobes, 1 of them was with a mini heater, which we used as a hot box to dry our wet shoes and clothes due to rains. The dinning table was quite small, but it’s ok.The smoke detector was very sensitive, which could be easily triggered by the bread toaster. The toilet was with a bath, which I liked so much and it’s good for relaxing. The swimming pool was small, but it’s ok.I would come back in winter if that was not so expensive.

For the price you pay, this place is a disgrace. The beds are akin to sleeping on the ground, with the added spring sticking in to your back. The shower is barely big enough to turn around or wash your hair without putting your elbow out the doors. The taps leak worse than the Titanic. The toaster is worth $19 and barely fits any toast properly.I would never stay here again and I will tell all the people I know who stay at Falls never to stay here. Absolute disgrace how they charge what they do for the conditions you get.Not to mention restaurant is closed and pool/sauna is closed. I can understand the restaurant being closed because of staff shortages, but maybe discount the rates if these facilities are closed!

To be honest I have not visited this hostel but I read some horrible story online. A young couple said that they booked a 2 guest room a long time ago but they decided to also bring their young kid to there finally. They couldn't find a way to upgrade the room as it is too popular these days so they decided to tell the host in a pre-booking form to see if it is allowed. There was no reponse from that so they thought it might be okay. When they arrived the place, the host yelled at them that they were not allowed to bring more people in the place because they only booked for a 2 guest room. It was dark and cold outside so they tried to communicate with the owner that if they could maybe add an additional bed in the room. The owner shouted that they were liars and rejected to make any changes to fix this situation. They finally found a friend who was living nearby and was able to take their kid with wife as well. The next day the young man encontered the owner again. The owner questioned him that where was he living yesterday and he felt a bit offended so he rejected to answer. The owner then became angry and rushed into his room to search if there was more people in there but found none. He then called the police to resolve this issue but the police did nothing and only asked him to leave. He finally had to left the place and the owner still owed them one night fee.I am not sure if this is a true story or the couple hided something? I can see that the young couple might not plan very well but how could the owner threw them out in the darkness especially they had a kid with them? I am happy to delete this if it is not true. I am pretty surprised to hear a story like this and it sounds nothing is dealt with properly.

positives:-Huge apartment with enough space for everyone to relax after skiing-bathrooms have heated towel racks which were very useful-very well equipped kitchen-fireplace in the living room comes with firewoods which was very convenient-efficient checkout processnegatives:- There was no cleaning service during our stay and also no washer or dryer. The drying cupboard was very small for the ski gears but we used the heated towel racks in the bathrooms.-The jet function of the bathtub has not been cleaned and the water had a lot of grit and dirt when we turned it on.-hot water was not always available (early in the morning and around 4-5pm potentially when everyone is back from the slopes)- Wifi was spotty- bunk bed ladder was broken with jagged metal and on of our kids hurt her knee getting down from it- heating on the mezzanine bedroom was not adequate and sound insulation was quite poor- had no public space to accommodate waiting (arrival & departure)- there is zero F&B offering in the facility (not even fresh coffee) and the location is a bit of a walk to/from the shops.

Would easily be a five stars unfortunately we had two key issues with our accommodation.1. Despite advertising otherwise on website etc, the spa was closed. A big reason I booked here was to go to the spa after a long day skiing. I believe they should make it clear that it’s closed prior to arrival or some partial compensation should have been offered. As of 27 August they still claim the spa is open (website), I can confirm in person it’s closed. Ridiculous.2. The restaurant was closed due to covid. I understand the issues arising due to covid, but there are no longer any lockdowns or restrictions.Overall, rooms are lovely and staff are great, however I don’t appreciate false advertising and straight lying to customers.

$1500/night to stay in a ghetto, small, 2 bedroom apartment, with 2 broken bunk beds and broken fans in both bathrooms. Reception staff were not very helpful. As a Canadian, who’s has skied and stayed at various types of ski resorts, I am utterly disgusted that the Country Club can get away with charging the prices they do. Absolutely not worth it!!!!
