Gunners Barracks

My husband and I recently held our wedding at Gunners' Barracks. It was the first venue we inspected. We immediately knew it was where we wanted to get married and booked a date that was just over three months away.Despite the tight timeline, the planning process was enjoyable and stress-free largely thanks to our event coordinator, Gabriella. Gabriella was a pleasure to work with, ensuring that all of our questions were answered promptly and that every detail was taken care of. The venue manager and staff on the night were also exceptional. They were friendly, attentive, and made sure that our guests were well taken care of.Overall, Gunners' Barracks exceeded our expectations in every way. It's a truly magical location for a wedding, and we're so grateful to have had the opportunity to celebrate our special day there. If you're looking for a stunning venue with amazing service, we highly recommend Gunners' Barracks. Thank you again to Gabriella and the entire team for making our wedding day so memorable!

The highlight was the scenery of the harbour and the savoury selections as part of the cocktail high tea $85 was not too bad. But where's the tea? It never came out and we noticed all the other tables during the same time slot had theirs already. First attempt and the waitress didn't fix it. Second attempt was luckily a success and was informed that it was never sent to the bar. That's strange since we received our cocktails. So it took 1 hour for our tea to come but it was a disappointment since it would have been nicer to enjoy the tea with the food. Expected better from this establishment. Also no apology either.

We had a fabulous high tea of assorted sandwiches, scones with jam and cream and delicious little cakes and pastries while admiring the amazing view. I will definitely be back to enjoy this experience again.

The food and drink were nice. But the service is very slow. You can only order food with specific person. We have to wait for a while to take our order. It took 1.5hour for the entree and we need to ask them to speed up their service. We were pretty hungry at first but after the long wait, we don’t feel it anymore. Somehow they are less attentive to us. We have to ask for a spoon to eat our dessert. Not a busy day, but been neglected. Good view, but it would be great if the service can be more attentive.

Best high tea in Sydney. I took my mum here for a Sunday high tea and she absolutely loved it. I would recommend booking the terrace as it’s closed in when it’s cold anyway. I wish I had known that as I booked indoors due to the weather concerns. All the food is delicious and you will leave extra full.

We had our wedding here in May and honestly it was fantastic! The venue was so accomodating and Jasmine our coordinator was responsive and wonderful! On the night everything ran like clockwork and not to mention the food was abundant and delicious! Our guests were very impressed!

What a lovely experience to have high tea in such beautiful surroundings. The views are amazing. The service, the food, and the drinks were all wonderful and delicious. I would highly recommend this experience.

Wonderful experience! We had high tea and had a lovely time. The gentleman who greeted us was very friendly and welcoming. The service was good and the food and tea were very tasty! They went above and beyond to accommodate vegetarian and gluten free sandwiches/baked goods. Also has incredible views!

Great venue with an open view of the city and harbour. The venue has a lot of heritage with beautiful sandstone buildings.The staff were pleasant and very friendly.Only improvements would be to keep up with the maintenance. A few areas of the building is showing it’s age that could do with a bit of high pressure washing to get the moss and mildew off the walls/roof
