Usually a good library, however the staff are often rude and loud, and cannot offer assistance in either navigating the library or the online services. To use the youth computers, you have to be over 18, which completely negates their use. Additionally, there was a live opera performance IN THE LIBRARY during the HSC trials period while people were just trying to study, which is completely ridiculous for a LIBRARY. In the end, it's better to go to Ashfield Library or Concord Library, both of which actually function as study and reading space, rather than as an opera house.

Fantastic talk tonight with author Sarah Dingle. The Lady from the Library hosting the event was totally awesome. Can't believe there was Champagne and Nibbles. Thank you so much!

I personally think this is a wonderful library. They are accommodating to children and how noisy they can be. Great selection of books and DVDs to borrow. We bring our kids here often. Parking down below and if you have mobility issues you can catch the lift straight up to the library.

The place is nice to study but a group of 3 people was having teleconference for an hour!!! . It was so annoying! Even we sat end of the corner!!! No way to focus on our study and had to go!

Far too noisy. When I was there, six old ladies were grouped in a circle, happily chatting away while knitting!!! Not uncommon to see bored and rabid children running wild. Staffs seem to be oblivious to it all. Toilet is outside and always locked up, can only be opened by staff, unbelievable.

Loud. All open. Singing groups for mothers and kids (in a library????). People chatting or talking echo throughout. Odd kid screaming. More a social space and council outpost than a library. If you want peace, borrow a book and leave. Quieter elsewhere.

Compared to other Libraries visited in the area this is an outstanding facility with open and light environment. Yes there were many little ones with mothers and carers who were singing etc but nothing a pair of headphones could not remedy. Plenty of study and work areas which suited as am on the road mostly. A great discovery a real treasure which will be a favourite when in the Five Docks area.

Great place, if all someone just want to borrow books and take it somewhere to read. However, the library is noisy , which include, adults ; who comes to library to socialise!!! And kids space make it noisy.librarians don’t care about the noise.

Staff are so helpful, as well as the resouce services that are available are fantastic. Great selection of books, magazines and dvds. This really is a community hub with students studying together, people working and doing research and kids attending story time. Reminders are automatically sent so if you are like me they help organise your returns. Kids love going here which I love..the reading bug is definitely bitten!

Great library, lots of light, nice for kids etc but a few rabid children accompanied by a few rabid mothers happy to outshout their children every 2 minutes to keep noise levels down so double the noise really. Staff probably too scared to get a complaint about not being 'friendly' premises so they keep their heads down and ignore everything. Aargh
