Advanced Automotive Ormond

A couple of days ago the tire of my rental car brew out on the road, I search from google and find this shop closest to me then I went there. A gentlemen told me his shop does not sell any tire but he can help me out to change with my spare tire . I observed him doing so speedy and efficient, although tire changing is not a different job but it seems to me he is a very experienced mechanic.After the service the gentlemen refused to charge me for the service and made a joke to me a nice comment for his shop is good enough. I’m really appreciate for his generous help, he did save my day coz I was heading to the coffee trade show (MICE) and this was my last day in Melbourne. It was so embarrassing I didn’t ask for the gentleman’s name, I wish he has good business in the future!

I must say these guys are amazing! Dave is friendly and approachable! Don’t over charge you and take good care of the job! My car needed service and a new starter motor and they did the job great and a fair price! I am highly trusting in this mechanics and it’s gonna be my to go to! Highly appreciated their job and their customer service!

I had my car serviced here a few times and David has been amazing, reliable, and always generous with his time despite being very busy. I had little bits and pieces in my car that I wasn’t sure how to fix and if it was a problem. David had always willingly checked it for me. Amazing mechanic! Best mechanic I’ve ever dealt with.Like all the other reviews Dave is generous with his time explaining what’s been done and very helpful with any questions.He recently did a rwc for me and was excellent.Even gave me a little homework, replacing a couple of filters and fluids, myself to save a few bucks and get under the hood myself.So very helpful and refreshing.Thanks Dave

Great shop that I have been using for years. David is always friendly, trustworthy and reliable. He knows what he is doing and provides good recommendations. He charges fair prices and has been my go-to mechanic for anything car related for ages.

Went to see David from Advanced Automotive Ormond to get my Honda civic front shocks replaced and other car fluids changed. I found David to be, professional, efficient, nice, and offering reasonable prices.When picking up the car, the ABS light was on and David explained to me that this was just a random event that can happen in cars.David nicely offered to replace the malfunctioning ABS module at his cost as the fault occurred while being repaired. I offered some money for his troubles but he declined.Unfortunately he could not diagnose or repair the issue despite ordering a new ABS module and trying to replace it.David suggested sending the car to a experienced Honda dealer mechanic which I did. To my shock the Honda dealer explained the damage to the ABS module could have occurred from the replacement of the front shocks.I emailed David about this issue but have only received a partial reply.

Finally gave me the impetus I needed to start working on my own car. I told him the problem was one of two things (which it was in the end), still charged me 150 for diagnosis. 400 total for a single piece of telemetry. I never argued the price, but when I asked exactly how/why the part failed, he said that's not my business

Dave completed a pre-purchase inspection on a 1995 Mercedes. After a very detailed review, Dave also quoted for all the items to be repaired. This helped my negotiation on the purchase price, and, once the sale was finalised, Dave completed all the worked identified including changing all the liquids as the car had been sitting for a few years. With all the good work put in by Dave and his team, I felt comfortable driving the car from Melbourne to Brisbane. I told Dave I was considering doing this trip, he sent the car out for a long drive with one of his team to make sure everything was 100% perfect, even double checking the tyre pressure of the spare tyre! Needless to say, the trip when went without any problems at all! I highly recommend Dave and his team!
