Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort

We arrived on Wednesday and stayed for three nights. It was a pleasant and relaxing stay.The only things we didn't like were: 1) a group of guests who had been inconsiderate by banging their doors every time they got out or returned to their rooms, played loud music on their portable speakers/mobile phones while walking in the corridors, which we told them directly; and 2) the room we were in wasn't noise protected. Every time a staff member reversed the golf cart parked beneath our room, there was a loud long beep (sometimes too early/late), and when other guests walked down the corridor (especially before 6 a.m.), it woke us up.The facilities were excellent. The entire staff was pleasant. A special thanks to the young lady at the Deli Cafe who went above and beyond.It would be fantastic if you could bring back the push bikes for guests who do not drive, like us. I had foot surgery, but I'd love to spend more time exploring the area.We will certainly recommend it to others and hope to see you again.

Resort was beautiful. Atrium was enormous, well styled and spilled from atrium to bar to pool and then the lagoon. Very well designed and makes a great first impression. Our room was recently renovated and clean.Service was lacking and staff were poorly trained. #1 When we arrived at 12 our room wasn't ready (expected and fine) so we went to get a light lunch and coffees. Ordered food. Couldn't get table water or coffee from the restaurant...had to go to the store. Went to the store. Couldn't get table water from the store....had to go to the bar. Poor first impression to have to go to 3 different places for a fairly simple order. #2 Overheard a conversation between restaurant staff and guests behind us.Guests: is there a certain age kids have to be to do the kayaks? How do the rentals work?Employee: Ummmm, I don't know. We don't really do that. You'll have to talk to the rental people. (then employee left the table and immediately started talking to one of his friends that was waiting for him by the side of the restaurant!) The rentals place was 20m away and I'm sure the employee still has no idea about rentals.The staff weren't rude...just indifferent, poorly trained and not once did someone do anything that was extra".Resort makes up for staff through its wonderful sea breeze and well designed

Beautiful scenery and a wonderful place to stay! The big lake and activities were so much fun. The pool is massive and even has a shallow enough part for my 8 month old to crawl and splash around in, easy access and walkable paths to and from rooms. Only bad thing about this place is there buffet was only on Saturdays and they booked out really quickly! Would of liked to enjoy a night at the buffet with the family whilst on vacation but couldn't.

Boring and out dated and overpriced. Could at least heat the pool if it's basically the only amenity you have during winter.Rooms need to be renovated. The plugs are low floor ones which are useless for the types of phone charges we have these days.Buffet over priced for what they have available.Freezing rooms with paper thin blanket. Can hear everything going on in the above apartment so very loud. There's really nothing to do here. Our stay was very underwhelming. Definitely not a family style resort.

Booked the room last minute for a getaway with the family and had a fantastic night. Great amenities and lots to do with the kids, pool, kayaks, sail boats and games room. Room was nice and only short walk from main area. Grounds were immaculate and staff were all very friendly and helpful. Will definitely return for a longer stay next time.

The resort itself is set on a nice lagoon and offers kayaks, SUPs and sailing. Pool area is great. My family were in an executive room which was great, clean and nice. I was in the non-executive room at the other side of the resort and it wasn't the best to be honest. Bed was a split and the two mattresses were different heights which was uncomfortable. There was rubbish on the walkways and in the gardens for the first 3 days of the stay. First room clean I got a clearly dirty towel (mascara all over it), tea cups were not cleaned or replaced and it felt very half done. Subsequent days were better. Ate at the restaurant a few times, food was nice although no kid friendly desserts, couldn't even get ice cream on the last night. The F&B staff were all nice and friendly though All in all we had a good stay but my room was very tired and in need of a refurb.

We Love this family friendly resort!!! I have only given a 4 due to the cost of on site buffet and drinks, a little pricey for us eg $20 per small cocktail and $105 per adult and $55 per child for the buffet. If it was a little cheaper we would have spent more money on site instead of heading to town.The newly renovated rooms are very comfortable (slightly small), quick clean each day by the very friendly cleaning staff.Pool is great, seating was scarce but manageable. Kids/family activities are awesome especially the kayaks.The buffet breakfast is a must, so many options and the staff were great with kids and very attentive.The grounds are beautiful and peaceful with lots of wildlife and gardens.This is our second stay and we will definitely be coming back thanks to all the wonderful, friendly and accommodating staff who made our stay so enjoyable

I’ve stayed here 4 times now and it gives you everything a resort should and more. The staff are always friendly and relaxed, the location and facilities are top notch. I’ll always recommend this hotel and can’t fault it at all! Always feel relaxed and on holiday mode from the second I arrive.
