I confess to being a Banjo Paterson fanatic.My first preference would be to see a statue of him without his head split open. Yes, I know it's artistic but art is in the eyes of the beholder. Still, an excellent museum within cooee and a first rate camping ground.

A good spot to pause and make yourself a cup of tea,on your way from, er, Parkes to Wellington, or maybe Orange to Dubbo, or just because you want to see the sculpture park.The local council has designated this area just before the bridge, north of 'town' for sculptures.The striking mosaic 'Night and Day' by the 'Public Art Squad' previously graced Sydney’s Castlereagh Street and was relocated here.

Nice place for a quick break. Toilet was not that nice. No water to wash hands.
