Coconut Palms on The Bay
I visit the bay for business and have stayed at the coconut palms more than 30 times. I'm a former Hervey bay local so know the area well. The location is unbeatable, across from the beach, near Enzos and choice of other restaurants (all walkable), walking to the seafront oval and waterpark and convenient if you want to go into town. The accommodation is clean and well maintained, parking is secure behind a locked gate, check-in is automated at any time and is a breeze. Finally, Owen (the manager) is a star. Nothing is too much trouble and he's on-site to help out with anything if needed. My favourite accommodation in the bay, wouldn't stay anywhere else.

I gave Coconut Palms 5 stars, that is not to say it is a 5 star hotel, more like a 3 that does it very well. The facilities are clean and tidy, in a good location by the beach and reasonably well kept. They have an easy self-check-in, the internet is actually useable and the tariff reasonable. I had two problems while staying which they dealt with well. Firstly, in the evening we felt a small electrical tingle on the shower tap, the onsite manager was able to get the electrical guys out that night and got it sorted, well done. Secondly, I left my wallet in the unit and they sent it back, no fuss. So if you are looking for pleasant reasonably priced accommodation in a good location I'd definitely recommend Coconut Palms.

We stayed 3 nights, very comfortable and clean large rooms, kitchen had everything we need, so quite here, just what we needed. Pool and BBQ area is nice. Walking distance to shops and beach across the street. Well done to all the staff for running a great complex. We're coming back again next time.

Got a room upgrade which made our anniversary trip even better! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE PLACE AND WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK! The apartment was clean, one of the cleanest I’ve ever been too - including crockery and cutlery were spotless. The apartment has a beachy vibe which appeals to me. It’s not a big complex so it’s not busy and noisy. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. Love the self-checkin kiosk! Very convenient. And the location was perfect! Just across the beach, close to Enzo’s and cafes, easy access to the walking and bike paths by the beach, crossed the road to watch the sunrise and sunset and sunrise.

Great location. Self service check-in kiosk was easy to use. Great idea..Clean and simple apartment with comfortable king bed. The double lounge recliner were great too. We stayed in apartment 7 for 7 days which had great air conditioning in the lounge/dinning and main bedroom. The Pool was clean and lovely to use. Secure gate complex was a bonus too, since its a busy area and you know you always have a spot.Easy access to the water across the road. You have the option of two water entrances with the furthest access having a shower to rinse off.Lots of food options within walking distance breakfast/lunch and dinner.Remember it’s on the esplanade, so you will hear some road noise. We would normally stay in resorts, but wanted something less busy and happy with this 3 star accommodation.

Loved this little place. We stayed in the 1st floor apartment 7. Very relaxing and cosy. Clean neat and tidy. Really comfy beds, great air-conditioning, across the road from the water. Walking distance to shops, cafes & bars. Great customer service. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return again soon for a much longer one.

Hidden surprise...Was a little surprised by the fully automated system at arrival.We had looked online and decided to stay here and said we would just book/check in at the reception to find it was an automated system that checked us in and dropped the keys out to us.But we were very happily surprised. The room was gorgeous. Crispy white sheets on the bed, very comfy bed. Gorgeous kitchen area with nice bar stools. Super clean and everything needed was there ..Will stay here again the next time we are in Hervey Bay.
