The soup is ok; however, the customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. The waitstaffs (especially the young lady) were like intentionally ignoring us when we just kindly asked for asistance about the food.

Missus favourite since its first opened years ago.Straight forward food take whatever you like, pay for the weight and wait for them to have a fast cooked. After your number being called, go to the counter and decide what type of sauces you fancy on the soup - garlic, sesame, spicy, etc.All cutleries are disposable which is hygiene. This outlet or any other outlets are the same don’t expect a fancy deco and ambience which you wouldn’t get any of those. Place are simple and some might be dirty - leftover bowls are on the tables without clearing it up, stains on floor and tables.... Very typical Chinese shop.Ideal for grabbing a fast lunch or dinner.

The original soup base is up there with other popular places. The selection of ingredients are not as large as other in Burwood, but still a decent enough selection. The decoration of the place is worn, so looks a bit worn out and they don’t offer free water.A decent place to have the noodles in Hurstville.

By far the rudest customer service I have ever received from the cashier behind the counter, we walked in and she was on her phone and didn't even look up at us once, no signage on the food, so we had no idea what anything was, the staff clearly saw us struggling and continued to watch without assistance, they have removed the laksa option off the menu even though other branches still offer it, I am disgusted by the staff here and will not be returning, complete lack of interest.

The soup is good, good food as well. I am a regular customer for almost 3 years but obviously the service by far is much worse than before. I waited for the soup for 30 minutes and the place is also not cleaned. Service from counter was also bad as she doesn’t know which is more priority, left the soup done for more than 5 minutes. Hope the owner will read and improve the quality of services. No filling foods, no tissue on the table,… .Now there are a lot places surrounded with competed price and better services outside.

I might be 100th person to write the same issue. Worst service ever, the lady in the counter was rude to everyone including elderly people. And scamming people with chilli sauce for $1?? Are you guys even serious? I’ve been to most of the other branches, always happy with it. But Hurstville has worst service ever. I would recommend to Change your COUNTER STAFF and chilli scam thing. And please try to reply those review too. Just ignoring review makes other branches looks bad too due to hurstville branch.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING SERVICE AND ATMOSPHERE.. Especially from the owner himself and the girl that is always on the counter. These people firstly look like they hate their lives which they seem to project onto the customers. Usually I accept it considering their food is nearby but never again. The owner ignored me multiple times whilst I tried to ask him for more coriander. Then he looked at me and 2 minutes later replaced it without saying a word. Then again I later tried to get his attention to ask him for my order to be takeaway and he purposefully ignored me walking as I’m saying Hello excuse me multiple times right next to him then he walked into the kitchen. Then he comes out asking me what I wanted to which I replied for takeaway. Then he tells me it costs extra. Even though in my experience with the place they only charge you extra if this is after you eat there. When i told him thats definitely not the case (because you can see on the screen where you pay the container surcharge crossed out when you eat there ) he started talking about him being the owner in a condescending manner whilst smiling. Absolutely atrocious to see. Especially being a regular customer who constantly tolerates their usual attitude. Over 50 cents. When I just paid $40.Not to mention. The place itself is in very poor hygienic manner. Scribbles on the walls. Rubbish picked up late. Lots of the meat trays are melted and have way too much blood and the rolls of meat are decomposed.STAY AWAY if you want to preserve your dignity as a customer.

The original Malatang in Hurstville and although they moved to a new shop, the quality has not dropped. They have the best ingredients by far and every single element had been chosen or prepared carefully. The meat balls are great quality as are the fish cakes, the pigs blood is prepared perfectly and the vegetables are always very fresh. Although they are still the most expensive Malatang in Hurstville, it is worth it. ($3.50+ per 100 grams). The service was polite and efficient and I experienced no issues. The new place looks a lot cleaner and the main thing that sets them apart is the original soup base. Still the richest soup out of the lot.

Mostly frozen, unhealthy produce. Original soup-base tastes nice and large selection of stuff to choose from. Gets pretty crowded and it feels like you're eating in a school canteen.Haven't been in over a year because of IBS associated issues after having these type of spicy soups too often and have read there is new management etc so i cannot judge on that.
