Missing Japanese food dearly and came across this little corner joint on a week night at Eight Street Garden City. Was impressed with the extensive menu options and took a while to lock in what we wanted to order because everything on the menu looked so tempting. Ordered at the counter with a lady didn’t look like Japanese ethnicity and thought this may be one of the Asian operated joints? Anyway the meals did not take long to cook and we were a bit shocked with the appearance of the food. Teriyaki Chicken rice came with a fried egg? Hiroshima style okonomiyaki looked pretty acceptance though, but the taste was definitely different to other Japanese operated joints.

Ordered Vegetarian Yakiudon and had waited for more than half an hour before I went up and asked if the food was ready as I kept seeing people who were lining behind me getting their food. Apparently they somehow forgot my order so I had to wait for another 3 mins for them to cook my food. What's more disappointing is that this Yakiudon tasted just like they've put the whole bottle of pepper in it and that's it. All you can taste is just pepper and a lot of pepper...very disappointing to be honest and really don't recommend and won't come back anymore

I ordered here thinking it would be good but nah. It took over 35 mins for my order and then the rice was super hard. The lady behind the counter the first time was really slacking but the second time wasn’t as bad but still bad

I ordered the chicken omurice thinking it would be good like every other Japanese place. But was the worst I’ve ever had. Was basically just rice with not good chicken and an omelette I can make at home for cheaper the cost. When I asked for a refund they wouldn’t give it to me because I apparently ate half, which btw wasn’t even half. Like less than 1/4. Worst $15 I have ever spent

received pink chicken and asked if i could get it replaced. they placed the pink chicken back in the fryer and when it came out, it was still pink….the curry sauce was ok, rice was over cooked and the only good thing abt the actual shop was the kind girl on the front2 stars out of generosity….

The only reason why I gave 2 stars coz my son likes the the tenderness of the chicken, but other food that we ordered did not satisfy our taste buds. Sorry to say, but it's the worst beef fried rice that I ever tasted. The noodles is not bad if you're starving though.Other thing, if you're in a hurry, don't bother to order here, it took awhile before our order was served. I hope other teppanyaki outlets, their food is better than this outlet in Garden City. Sorry, No plan of eating again in this outlet.

Terrible service. Ordered Yakisoba noodles with seafood with only Prawn and Squid. Specifically asked for NO mussels and octopus. Was charged an extra $2 for this change. Got home and it has octopus and squid. Have tried calling the phone number, to be told it is disconnected. TERRIBLE SERVICE for extra $$$$$Call Westfield centre management only to be given the same disconnected number.

Have been coming to here for more than 2 years now and their meal never disappoint.Knowing they would have queues during peak hours so I always come around dinner time the volume of ppl during dat time jn 8 street is super low usuallyrecommend their ommurice ,Okonomiyak，hiroshimayaki(surprisingly good taste and these three are my favorites, very worth to try !!)
