I finally found my new go to Bakery. Beautiful bread and rolls. And don't get me started on the caramel donut I just ate, soooooo yummy!!

Unfortunately since the change of ownership the quality of the pies and other items has declined. Very sad really because the previous owners paid attention to details.

I’m sorry to say that this place has deteriorated since the change in ownership. $14 for a loaf of bread & 4 cheese rolls is just ridiculous despite rising supply costs. The cheese rolls were ok but the bread tasted stale the following day. Very disappointing and we won’t be back.

I grew up in the area and I was always excited to go into this bakery as a child and I still get excited whenever I go there when I’m an adult. For years this place has always been absolutely the best. They have the best friendly staff and amazingly tasty food. Highly recommended especially for their meat pies! Whether or not you live in the area this is a place that you must go to, otherwise you’ll be missing out on the best bakery in Canberra.

Tasty and fresh with an amazing price point!Some outdoor seating, and lots more right next to the fully fenced playground with shade sail. Lovely spot for a catch-up with the kids.Would highly recommend the vanilla slice, we’ll be back again soon!

This bakery has been going downhill for the last three months and hit rock bottom this morning. Arrived just after 8am. The shop had a minimal selection of bread, a few pies and no pastries/sweets selection.This is a real shame as this used to be one of the top bakeries in this area with a great range of breads, pies, sweets and pastries. It was obvious the old owners and those working there took a lot of pride in the shop.In the past I have happily recommended this bakery to any visitors but this was the final straw for me and I won't be returning.

Highly recommend Spence Bakery Wholemeal Sourdough. Also accidently bought white sourdough a few days ago which was so tasty but unfortunately for me white bread is on my 'no' list.

Absolutely fantastic bakery! Highly recommend.I recently came across it when in the area for work and can’t believe I didn’t know it was here before now.It takes me back to the great bakeries I remember from childhood. Doesn’t look fancy from the outside, but their food and the quality does all the talking.Staff are always super friendly, greet you and helpful wth any questions.Treat and sweets are delicious, made on premises and always fresh, great quality, great prices and they make good old fashioned bakery items. Hot pies and sausage rolls are lovely too.I can finally get the classics such as iced finger buns made with fruit in the dough, simple but delicious slices, apple or apricot pies made with real fruit and quality pastry, and pies that are amazing! Pastry perfect - solid on the bottom, slightly flaky on top and filling delicious meat. not low quality filling or off cuts that most bakeries use in pies these days. Lots of flavours and different types of pies and sausage rolls too.And they have a good variety of breads and rolls - that are always fresh and taste delicious too. Also make loafs of banana bread and other flavoured loafs.Couldn’t fault anything about this bakery at all. Prices are more than reasonable as well.Honestly the closest to the old fashioned childhood bakeries that I’ve found in ages, and by far the best bakery in belco/Gungahlin area.It’s obvious this is a family business, which makes it even better to support and shop at a local owned, family business.Am now a regular here for bread and occasionally a pie for myself, and always grab some finger buns or doughnuts for my kids. so glad to have found this bakery and now travel 25 mins just to go here.
