Rude staff. The girl behind the bar was extremely rude when we asked for simple condiments! The big tool with the beard was the manager I believe, extremely rude. Must’ve had sand in their undies or maybe none of them have worked in hospitality? Don’t bother. Food was average. Cocktail full of canned fruit! Hope the staff cheer up a bit!!

Mountains Locals, we decided on Lawson Pub for my Birthday dinner and I couldn't have been more disappointed.I was looking forward to my Moussaka, what arrived was a lousy thin layer of burned zucchini, no eggplant to be seen. The bread was also burnt. My meal basically tasted like charcoal. My partners chicken schnitzel was surprisingly small and the meal overall tasteless. My sons burger had tomato, despite requesting to omit the tomato.A Sunday evening, the third table to arrive, they weren't busy enough for all the faults we experienced. We felt that the meal was poor value for money, service was nothing to write home about. We would have had a better experience at a corner store.

Historical and Charming PubInteresting pub with indoor and outdoor dining. Has a real Australian feel about it in decor and layout. Worth visiting just to see the pub which is set on a hill. Food good I had the salmon and friends had the pie and poke bowls. Wide selection of beers. Toilets clean and parking on streets. Lawson is a pretty Blue Mountains village so travellers stop on way to Katoomba and Three Sisters for lunch.Love your local guide - M❤️Like or follow me please

The Henry is an Australian local pub, with great history, as it was one of the first Pubs in the Blue Mountains. The food there is cooked with love, and the meat selections there are top-notch. Although it was a busy day, and food was slow, we got our food and it was delicious to say the least.

The food is sensational. We've tried the burgers, salmon, leek & mushroom pie, souvlaki bowl and other items and we've been impressed by everything. Service is friendly and the place is welcoming

My family and I spent one night at The Henry and we were so impressed. The hotel rooms are huge, each with a really large bathroom. High ceilings and very comfortable beds. We are a family of 5 and had the family room (with one double and two singles) and then a double room next door. So much space and everyone slept peacefully with not a noise from the road despite being on the highway. We had lunch in the pub today, staff were friendly, the food was delicious and quick to come out even with a packed restaurant. We loved our stay and would highly recommend this beautiful pub and hotel. Well done team Henry!

I'm writing my review about the food and service.Giving 3 stars, but that is only for the really good service I received and lovely dessert I had. Otherwise i would have given probably one star.Went there for lunch with a friend, I ordered the zucchini and eggplant moussaka. One of my fav dishes, I've had it in many other cafes/restaurants, but i hadn't had it in a while. Unfortunately it was very disappointing, as it was flatter than a pancake (which it shouldn't be) a bit dry, lacked flavour, and a bit hard to even cut.I then ordered some tea to have with my dessert. I asked for a cup of tea, but was told they only served tea in pots, which was fine. I asked for a small pot of tea, but was told it was just one size, so ok all good still. When i got my pot of tea it was quite a big pot for one person, easily enough for 4-5 people.Of course it was way too much for me, so i basically paid for a large pot which i obviously couldn't drink all of.If you can make one cup of coffee, (which is what my friend ordered) then why is it so hard to make one cup of tea? or even just have a small pot of tea, which is what most places serve if its just for one person? I've never been served a pot of tea that big before, but was obviously charged for it, when I didn't really want that size.

Great place, great ambience, great convenience, great staff, great hospitality, great food, great portions, great timings between ordering and food being served. The not so great part of the joint is the price of the food, which I feel a rump steak, salad and chips shouldn't cost $34, although I admit, it was delicious.
