I had been thinking about getting a 'proper' curly hair cut for quite some time, but I didn't know if it would be worth it. After my first visit with David, I wonder why I didn't do it years ago. So much knowledge that he happily shares, a great environment, and simply a great cut - I will definitely return!

I wish I had found this place sooner. I will never go anywhere else now. At 46 I had given up hope that I could find a hairdresser who could cut my curly on top , straighter on bottom hair without ending up with a mullet . David did an amazing job and my hair has never looked healthier or curlier. I learned so much about how to look after my hair and have frizz free defined curls. Im a bit shy but I felt very comfortable and looked after. If you have curly hair please don’t go anywhere else.

I’m extremely fussy about hairstylist, but after some intense research, decided to give Marcia Gibsons salon a try - I’d just moved to Queensland, so was taking a bit of a leap of faith as I had no recommendations. I couldn’t fault the service (I love anyone who gives me tea and cookies), and David gave me a stunning cut. He talked me through the whole haircut process! Gave my lifeless hair so much love and me a new look itself, he was meticulous with the styling, and the cut has been easy for me to style myself at home. To say I was delighted with the result doesn’t cover it, I’ll be back for sure!! 100% recommend David at Marcia Gibsons

I was on the search for a new 'curly' hairdresser after never being happy with anyone in the past. I came across Marcia Gibsons and made an appointment with David.I had long curly hair but was contemplating a drastic change by getting it cut really short. I've had a few shorter cuts over the past few years but have never been happy with them.I discussed my concerns with David and showed him some photos of those short cuts.David knew exactly why I hadn't been happy with them and made a suggestion on a new style.As apprehensive as I was about such a radical change with a new hairdresser, I put my trust in David.I am so glad I did. I can honestly say this was the best haircut I've ever had!I totally recommend seeing David, he actually listens!

If you have curly, wavy or textured hair I highly recommend a dry curl cut and hydration service with David. I always leave the salon feeling amazing with beautiful reinvigorated hydrated bouncing curls. All of the staff at the salon are friendly and welcoming. David shares his expertise providing education throughout your experience too so you can recreate and care for your curls at home. I cannot recommend this amazing salon enough. A must visit for those wanting to embrace their natural hair pattern.
