Great library - good selection of reading options and other materials - and a nice quiet comfortable place to read the paper or whatever.

Ashgrove Library
Very helpful staff and plenty of parking space. However, the library can get a bit noisy due to unsupervised kids running around the study zones. It is hard to get school assignments done, due to daycare like ambience. Essentially, if you are on the lookout for some quiet library time for study or research, I'm afraid this is not the place as it's too noisy.

Possibly my favourite BCC library in Brisbane. Fantastic range, expert and lovely staff, gorgeous layout (with great facilities) and oodles of space. Thoroughly recommend!

Free wifi and tables set out on the deck under cover make this the ideal place to work in the early hours of the morning. I agree with the daycare comment made by another contributor, however as a parent I understand what they are building community connections.Update - 7/6/23 - Library deck in the afternoon is not a quiet working space. Why does this muppet think we want to hear every aspect of his phone call?

This is a very good library with great staff however on many occasions the atmosphere is like a daycare centre. The children area is good but children and parents need to confine themselves to the area and not run amok in the main library. Suggest children's area has separate entrance. Parents treat library like a daycare centre.

A wonderful local library. Lovely, friendly staff and especially now it is renovated a fantastic kids zone.
