The Modern Furniture Store

I wanted a walnut bookcase but couldn't seem to find one. Ended up settling for a solid oak case from the Modern Furniture store. We made the purchase on a Sunday afternoon and had it delivered within a few days. I was really pleased that we were able to have it delivered before I went to work as we live in a high security apartment complex and getting furniture delivered is always a nightmare. So far it has stood the test of time, is very sturdy and looks great. It was around AUD$800 from memory but considering it's a modern design and is solid wood I don't have a problem with the price. Hoping to get another one soon as I've already filled the first one.

We have bought a lot of beautiful furniture and homewares here over the years. I love that they allow people that space to browse without following them around. I go often and make a purchase when I am ready. There were a couple of times when we’ve needed to have items changed and they were swift to respond and perform the change. An excellent store and customer experience.

One of my fav furniture and styling stores in Brisbane and I am a frequent customer of this place. I have found the service amazing and the girls so helpful and knowledgable. The furniture is really well made, designed and of extremely high quality. They also have an incredible display of Marimekko accessories and Armadillo&Co Rugs. Definitely worth a visit if you are looking for high end and affordable Australian design and homewares in Brisbane......5 stars!

Topnotch Lounge Care has been applying fabric protection to the great sofas sold at The Modern Furniture Store for many years. Great staff and always smiling plus every time I go into the store there is always something different on the shelves to purchase.

We bought a dining setting from The Modern. Beautifully made, looks even better than the pictures, and chairs are extremely comfortable. Received excellent after-sales service too, wouldn't hesitate to buy from there again.

Stylish classic furniture, worth every penny. No push selling but warm enough to answer all the queries. I had got beautiful couch and dinning table from them, and the quality is amazing. Going again to them to get more things. Non fussy customer service.

Amazing furniture store with a large range of high quality modern, scandinavian design style furniture. The furniture is attractive but the store really shines with the accessories on display, it also helps having a little plant store on the side

Beautiful furniture and homewards but the customer service is sorely absent. I was approached briefly then left alone for the remainder of my 10-15min visit. I was not asked if I was OK being left alone or if I required assistance or a goodbye when I was leaving the store. Bad taste and I don't think I looked like I had money. Never judge a book by its cover folks!! Chit chat would have been something. 2/5

A deposit was paid and the furniture was allocated in our warehouse (and removed from inventory) awaiting delivery. Kristin subsequently sought to cancel the entire purchase and demanded a full refund of the deposit (having engaged an interior designer). In seeking a compromise

Spent 10 minutes in store while 3 staff were chatting together. No eye contact or even a hello the whole time.Why open your doors to customers if you're not going to acknowledge their presence?
