I really look forward to my sessions with Emily Burton, she's really helped me switch my mindset from negative to positive, and really helped my anxiety. I can understand my own feelings and thoughts much better. I feel so relieved, and more free - I'm not constantly worried about things out of my control, constantly second guessing, or afraid I might say or do the wrong thing. I haven't been getting the physical symptoms of anxiety, pounding heart, short breath etc. It's really been a positive improvement in my life, and I'm looking forward to continuing this journey, and continuing to feel better! Also, on a side note, I was skeptical about telehealth appointments, but it's been really great, I can do these appointments from my own home which is very comfortable, and I can work it around my busy schedule because i don't have to drive to and from the office for my appointments.

NEGATIVE SWITCHED TO POSITIVE IN JUST A FEW SESSIONSDefinition of Well-being: “The experience of health, happiness, and prosperity. It includes having good mental health, high life satisfaction, a sense of meaning or purpose, and ability to manage stress.”My name is Alain and on 24 May 2020 I made the tough decision of abandoning a 10 year relationship. For more than 6 months I lived with the suspicion that my partner had been having an affair when I noticed changes in her behaviour. Almost every night ended in an argument and I just didn’t have sufficient evidence to leave earlier in case I was wrong and at times I went into a state of denial. I endured anxiety, depression and panic attacks night after night. Having gathered ample proof, I woke up at 4.00 am that morning in a terrible state and decided to pack my belongings and left the home. The anxious state continued but followed by a feeling of total emptiness and loneliness one can only describe as being similar to losing a loved one.I was referred to Positive Wellbeing and now I am pleased to share my story with others who may be experiencing similar signs. I have discovered an unimaginable feeling of achievement and progress to my mental health. Even though the 5 sessions with Ms. Emily Burton from Positive Wellbeing were facilitated by way of phone consultations due to COVID19, I turn the clock forward 6 weeks and I am amazed at the change in my mental health. I am now this completely new 60 year old person. My weight had ballooned to 110 kgs. I am now at 93 and aiming for the ideal 80-85 according to my BMI. I am walking 5 kms each and every early morning, researching, choosing and eating healthier foods, challenging my body with repetitious exercise and keeping focus on where I want to be and have goals and a positive mindset. My motto is “Look up, look forward and never look back.” I have never felt better in my entire life. I am now this free person with extra strong values. There is a saying “If it’s going to be, it’s up to me.” This is correct but I also truly believe that without the positive stroking, words of encouragement and trusting open ears from the coach and mentor that I may not have been in such an advance state of recovery. The sessions with Emily afforded me complete trust, faith, reason, meaning and determination to achieve a much needed recovery. I look forward to my sessions each week, like a child eagerly waiting for Santa to arrive because I realise that my experience has been one of success in a relatively brief period of time. I am now living clear of all the poison that was affecting my wellbeing. To Emily, words cannot sufficiently express the appreciation I have for the journey you have taken me on to facilitate my recovery. I say Thank You from the bottom of my heart. To anyone who has taken the time to read this message, I understand some of you may be sceptical about its genuineness but I would be pleased to discuss this with you over the phone or by email as I authorise Emily to make available my contact details.

I couldn’t be happier with my experience at Positive Wellbeing Psychology. They were so prompt when I first enquired about becoming a new client and they’re extremely organised, respectful and prompt with all of their communication with me. They have been extremely professional, and they have also been extremely understanding, as well. So thankful that I have begun seeing Brigitte (psychologist) at this service, she is so compassionate, understanding, trauma informed and empowers me to have as much decision making and involvement as I can. Looking forward to continuing to work with Brigitte and PWP!

An absolutely wonderful place. Emily Burton the Principal Psychologist & Director was extremely nice from the first moment of contact. A professional and thoughtful place which handles with care and consideration. I was speaking with Chelsea who was such a nice person, calm and patient with a genuine care to her. You could tell she really loves her work and wants the best possible for her patients. It feels like you are speaking with your closest friend, you feel comfortable to talk and share with no judgement or assumption. Its absolutely life changing. Thank you again.

Absolutely lovely team at Positive Wellbeing Psychology. In the past, I've jumped from one psychologist to the next, not quite finding the one I click with, but after stumbling across this wonderful clinic I think I'm finally ready to stay put. Emily Burton has been so patient with me in regards to making my appointments and Chelsea Huddle has been a blessing: she has been nothing but encouraging, patient and supportive to help me through my mental health struggles. I'm slowly getting to a better place and I owe much to Chelsea for it. So glad I found this place and cannot recommend enough!

I recently tried to begin the therapy process with positive well being psychology and was disappointed with the communication and administration. I was only able to contact via email with no person manning the phone lines even during office hours. My first appointment was wasted due to technical difficulties- I couldn't access the link and was not able to reach anyone for assistance. Then after waiting one month for my in person appointment I showed up and was told there was a miscommunication and it was online- this was never confirmed and I had specifically made an in person so I could meet Chelsea. They refunded me straight away which I appreciated but I was very upset by the service.EDIT: I have since spoken to Emily, she was kind, apologetic and requested some suggestions to improve client experience. I appreciate her checking in on me to follow up and am sure these issues won't be experienced in the future

As a NDIS support coordinator, Emily and her counselling clinic have been nothing other than fantastic. Prompt, following through and thorough with report writing. Very helpful from a provider and NDIS perspective.
