Delta Therapy Dogs

We met Marnie the therapy dog at Sydney eye hospital today. She was totally adorable. Thanks for visiting our son who just came out of his surgery xxx

I volunteered for this organisation for an extended period of time and they were lovely…until you disagree with them. That is when you see a lot of hypocrisy and nastiness come out, which is really disappointing from an industry that preaches kindness. Seems that rhetoric only applies to dogs. There is no room for different schools of thought in the organisation even though at the end of the day everyone has a dogs welfare as their top priority. Great foundations Delta but you have some work to do on how you treat people.

Used to be a great community organisation that has now become a corporate body. Paid staff replaced volunteers branch coordinators. I ran a very successful branch, had lots of community support and raised thousands of dollars but was let go after 16+ years of dedicated service. We had in excess of 100 visiting teams doing amazing work. I never even received a thank you card let alone any sort of official send off. Not looking for a pat on the back however it's very disappointing at the way we were all treated from an organisation that claims to care about people.

I trained with this community several years ago. I am country based. I was told they would help me find a placement..it never happened. I do believe small attempts were made but in the end I was told I was on my own and dumped. Never heard from them again. So disappointing as I felt both my wonderful dog and I had a lot to offer.
