I have purchased many items from Molten over the years (mainly from this boutique) I decided to visit the store and take advantage of their repair services for one of my bracelets which my puppy had chewed the clasp from.Walking into the store, it was a great atmosphere as usual. However, when I handed the attendant my bracelet she frowned and said “sorry hun, we don’t fix anything that’s not solid gold” I replied saying I was certain it was solid gold as I knew where it was purchased from hence why I wanted it fixed. Again she reiterated “it definitely didn’t look like solid gold”. Again, I assured her it was as I knew the brand my partner purchased from only stocks solid pieces, not filled or plated. Our back and forth went on for a few minutes as she continually reiterated that my bracelet looked to be of poor quality and definitely wasn’t fixable. I was with a colleague at the time who started laughing at the awkwardness and actually asked if she could check before making her claim she said that usually gold has a stamp, I agreed but said that due to how fine the chain is, it is stamped on the clasp (which had been broken off). I offered to prove it via googling and was again told “sure, but you’ll see its definitely not solid gold, it really doesn’t look like its quality”.I was able to prove that it was in fact solid and therefore qualified for a repair. She hastily rushed me through the payment process, didn’t once apologize and instead said “maybe it would look more like real gold if it had a clean” (noting it is only worn on special occasions and was not ‘dirty’ just needed a polish as all gold does over time). I was gob smacked, but had already paid for the service.I picked it up two weeks later and have to say that they did an amazing job and I am very thankful to have it back. I wouldn’t recommend taking any pieces here for repair and in future will be visiting a smaller boutique in the CBD whom I have previously used. I do have to say that this isn’t my usual experience, the staff at both James St and Chermside are usually fantastic and always happy to help.

The Gold Swap process was so easy. From my first enquiry the communication was excellent and so much easier than trying to sell unwanted gold through other channels. And now I can choose a new piece to treasure.

I came in on Monday night with my family looking for a piece for our aunts birthday, we didn't find exactly what we were looking for but spend a good while browsing with the spectacular help of Meg! She was lovely, friendly, and knew everything there was to know about the stones, settings and jewellery. The service was incredible and it was very enjoyable experience, and we'll be back for some personal options in the near future!

All around great experience. Beautiful, high-quality and unique jewellery at fair prices. All the staff I dealt with were phenomenal. I think the gold swap program is such a brilliant idea and have been thinking about doing it for some time now. The whole process was super easy. I received updates via email every step of the way. There is no requirement to accept the offer for your gold, so if you change your mind or don’t like the offer your pieces will be returned to you no questions asked. I ended up exchanging some outdated/broken gold pieces that had been sitting in a drawer for years for credit that I have since put toward the purchase of a stunning one of a kind ring which I will wear every day. I honestly can’t recommend Molten Store highly enough.

Salem and Meg were extremely patient and helpful throughout the whole experience, I had looked at the stuff online but coming into store was marvellous and I’m sure I’ll come back soon as well as recommend my friends!Thank you again!

It's been a hectic time of year.I just wanted to reach out and say a massive thank you for all your help throughout the design and manufacturing process of Baillies amazing ring.The ring is absolutely stunning and is such a huge hit with everyone we show. A lovely experience with the ladies at James St store and I am obsessed with my new Cosmic Frost bracelet. It is such a beautiful piece and I’m wearing it every day so far! Will definitely be back, looking forward to visiting the store at Chermside.

I was gifted a necklace from here for my Birthday this year. Unfortunately, the clasp broke and I was disappointed. I went in store and spoke to Meg and Selem. Within a few days I had a new necklace and was good to go. These two showed excellent customer service and were very punctual staff members.
