Fantastic place to learn traditional Goju Ryu Karate. World class Shihan and Sensei.

When I wanted to return to martial arts in my 40s, I was looking for spirit, sincerity, and warmth in a dojo. I found all three in abundance here with a terrific group guided wisely by David Sensei.

David is a wonderful Sensei who has helped to nurture my son’s love of karate. Through the supportive environment at GoJu Dojo, his technique has improved significantly. Thanks David, we look forward to the journey and achievements ahead!

Four years ago, I made the right decision to join the Goju-Ryu class at Marrickville.I am fortunate to train under one of the world class instructors, David Sensei and a Japanese trained Mario Renshi Shihan.The benefits of learning Goju-Ryu Katas are enormous.I have benefited from practising the Sanchin Kata, of which the breathing techniques that help me build the internal energy that leads to a strong body and mind.Although I am the oldest student in the class, I feel that at the age of 72, I am fitter, stronger and healthier than ever before. It’s due to constant, continuous and perseverance training.I highly recommend to anyone this is the right and best place to learn Karate.Goju for Life!

Amazing dojo I've been training for 8 years and It is amazing I love the fact it's a small class meaning you can focus on yourself and ask for help without feeling judged highly recommend for all ages

I’ve been training with the Goju Dojo in Marrickville for around 8 years. It has a safe and supportive environment for all people of all ages and teaches important skills in self defence in a non violent way.The Sensei is a high ranking black belt who teaches in a highly professional and switched on manner. He takes the safety of his class very seriously while also creating a fun and challenging atmosphere. He will, without hesitation help those who are willing to push themselves to become better and will go through every step with patience and calm.I’ve trained in 2 other kinds of martial arts but can safely say that this Dojo and style of karate is by far the best I’ve ever experienced.
