It was connected three days after applying for electricity to this company. Therefore, my house spent three days in winter without electricity. They said went an employee to my house,but they went back and doing nothing twice.I felt like this is a poor country. in Canberra? They made us spend three days in the dark.I don't recommend this company to anyone who needs electricity urgently.

I was with ActewAGL from over 10 years. It was on a flat rate and no peak off peak rate. Then my meter is changed to a Smart" meter as part of home renovation. Since then I was getting charged thing called "Demand Charge". Which is basically double charging the daily supply charge. Also they didn't mentioned anything about that when I changed the meter. As soon as I found out from the bill

At 915am this morning, I spoke (via a phone call) with a young gentleman from ActewAGL, who was located in Canberra, this was definitely a pleasant change.Unfortunately I did not get the young man's name, but he went above and beyond, in providing EXTRA assistance and when I thought the phone call was over he went that extra mile to provide me with a more affordable plan for both my electricity and gas accounts.What a positive and unusual experience this was, one of which I've never had with ActewAGL before. But wait, there's more, he also offered to transfer a credit I had on one account to pay another account (a huge dilemma, paying my mortgage or potentially having the gas disconnected).As a result, I am going to be financially better off this winter and for the next 12 months with the new plan (for both my electricity and gas accounts).Thank you, you've provided me with more assistance, than I initially thought I would receive and for that I'm more appreciative and thankful than you could ever imagine.

I have received an email to say that my simple saver plan will end soon. It will automatically switch to Direct Saver Plan, it did not offer a detailed charges of the new plan or other plans. It only tells me that my annual estimated charges with the new plan. This is not helpful at all. When I ranged to inquire twice, both customer service officers could not send me the new plans on papers or if I can read them on the website. He only offered to let me write it down. He was impatient and just wanted to rush me through while I tried to write down the details. I felt so helpless and want to explore the possibility of changing energy supplier.

I was a actew agl customer for many years but they have lost my business & I will be sure to tell others to stay away.We moved into our property in September 2021, we received 2 quarterly bills.You expect that a company would actually do their job properly by visiting the property and doing an actual reading instead of an “estimate reading” for 8 months.If they had actually come to our property then they would have realised there was a gas leak which is extremely dangerous.Actew agl excuse was “that I refused their request for access to my meter or they couldn’t access the gas meter” absolutely appalling.I was hit with “you’ll need to pay for these bills because previous bills have only been estimates & I owe them money”.

Average service. I moved houses and put in a request over the phone to end my electricity account. They forgot to read the meter and made excuses and took over a week to finally do it. They tried to charge me extra for their mistake and bill me for additional effort. Do not recommend ActewAGL.

Don't approach this company with a 10 ft pole! I moved into a house where ActewAGL were already set up as the provider and every invoice that came in was about 2 X higher than other companies I've been with. Their rates are simply not competitive, and they are really shady about actually visiting your property and conducting accurate meter readings. Maybe I'm alone in experiencing the higher prices to that degree, but honestly it is not financially worth going with this company for any reason.

Three calls to fix my electric bill and all three officers told me different things. Hit with a $2600 electric bill and originally told that as a student I will get a concession discount, but only right then on the call if I set up an account with them - which I did.On the second call I enquired as the bull delivered did not include my concession discount, put me on hold for 10 minutes and had to go back to work so unable to resolve. Final time I spoke to somebody they told me as I had already set up an account under my name I was unable to backdate the concession discount as I had already created my account and it’s been invoiced, and for some reason they cannot backdate my account.I was told previously I could close my current account and my partner with an older concession card than mine could create an account and we could backdate it that way - then recently was told we couldn’t do that.It’s unbelievable that the officers would promise something multiple times and have different people tell you it can’t be done. I was spoken over and told to be quiet and listen while somebody was talking to me. Truly disappointing service and still left with a $2600 bill and no resolution.

Customer service appear to have no idea what is happening with your account. Have now asked on 3 separate occasions to receive my first electricity bill after 8 months of living in the property. Total internal disconnect between departments.
